### 4/5 — Scott Frost

I am fluent English/Spanish, but English is first language. This app is fantastic for helping with occasional words I don’t know “ gear shifter” “casserole “ etc.. also the conjugation feature helps so much when it gets sticky “he might have done this thing in the past” type stuff.
Faster then Duolingo and better in my opinion ( I have both) and is vastly superior to things like Google Translate. I absolutely recommend this one to anyone learning a language or like me, just need occasional help.-Scott Frost New Mexico/Chihuahua

### 5/5 — All in one

### 5/5 — Love this App!

*2026-08-15, version 6.40*

I have been using this app for several years now to practice vocabulary. I love that I can add words of my own that I would like to review for my work and other specific needs.

### 5/5 — Best Spanish Language Website!

*2026-08-14, version 6.40*

As an English speaker who has studied Spanish in high school and has a degree in it, there are times that I need reassurance of what I am writing or saying. This website has so many resources to help me and others who are tightening their language skills or just double checking them. They have added additional features throughout the years, like the video pronunciation, thesaurus, and daily practice options. Best. Website. Ever!

### 5/5 — Great app

The app is helpful with vocabulary and pronunciation! Also great practice tool

### 5/5 — Always There, Always Helpful

*2026-08-12, version 6.40*

SpanishDictionary is the one App I consistently use. It has it all. Quick reference, handy classes and even the word of the day. I love the ease of reference and the examples that they present. Plus you get the same help if you subscribe or use it for free. That’s something you don’t find anymore

### 5/5 — All around best translator

*2026-08-11, version 6.40*

And fun vobulary

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2026-08-11, version 6.40*

App freezes up and closes randomly. Happens on iPad and iPhone. Garbage

### 5/5 — Love it! Best translations and practice!

*2026-08-10, version 6.40*

I use Spanish Dict every day - multiple times a day! I look up words, check my Spanish or translate something I don’t understand. I create vocabulary lists and can quiz myself, too! Or I can use one of their learning tools as well! Spanish Dict has everything!!

### 2/5 — Stop asking me for Reviews !! No 10?

*2026-08-08, version 6.40*

it’s so amazing and easy to use. this app is your best companion when it comes to learning spanish, i love how its almost completely free, i couldn’t ask for anything more. it has every word ive ever tried to translate. it has literally everything, and it even has lessons even though its promoted as a dictionary. it has every phrase from i love chicken to frick your mom. great app

### 5/5 — Fantastic resource

*2026-08-08, version 6.40*

Spanish dictionary is great! It’s not just a dictionary. There are grammar lessons & games too. I only have the free version as I already pay for other Spanish resources, but it gives me lots of useful tools. Thanks for a great app!

### 5/5 — Great Translations App

*2026-08-08, version 6.40*

As a fluent speaker of both languages, I use it often for dialect differences. This app acknowledges dialect differences as well as proper grammar differences (i.e. the verb form vs a noun or adjective equivalent). Excellent App. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Good app for vocabulary acquisition

*2026-08-06, version 6.40*

I try to use this app daily. It does a good job or presenting and reviewing Spanish vocabulary.

### 4/5 — Please stop asking for rating EVERY DAY

*2026-08-06, version 6.40*

Except for the embedded ads

### 5/5 — ¡Buena di quieres aprender español!

*2026-08-06, version 6.40*

This app is excellent if you want to learn Spanish, even if you don’t have premium! This app is a very fun way to learn (in my opinion)! Also, although many things are unable to be used without internet, I think it’s really good that the dictionary can still be accessed without internet connection! Overall, really good!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Stop asking me for Reviews !! No 17

*2026-08-23, version 6.41*

Stop asking for for reviews all the time !
Seriously you ask me every day.:

### 1/5 — Tired

*2026-08-12, version 6.40*

Sick of you asking for a review

### 1/5 — Subscription

*2026-08-07*

Don’t try free subscription. I just subscribed to try it out and they charged my card immediately.

### 1/5 — Glitch

*2026-07-28, version 6.40*

It took my streak even though I did my lesson yesterday like wtf

### 1/5 — Why

*2026-07-26, version 6.40*

The fact you need to subscribe to do the placement level to find what level of Spanish you’re at is nuts. Duolingo does it for free

### 1/5 — Greed is ruining everything

*2026-07-19, version 6.40*

Can’t even hear the pronunciations or open the app because they are blasting ads non-stop. Waste of an app now.

### 1/5 — Stop asking me for Reviews !

*2026-07-10, version 6.40*

Stop asking for for reviews all the time !
Seriously you ask me every day.

### 1/5 — Really unstable lately

*2026-06-30, version 6.40*

The app has been freezing and often crashing lately. It happens when I translate something, and then try to translate something else. It feels like the current version of the app has a lot of bad ai generated code that’s degrading the performance.

### 1/5 — Ads need to be muted

*2026-06-27, version 6.40*

Suddenly ads are at full volume even when the phone is on silent. I’ve used this app for a long time but now I’m switching to an alternative.

### 1/5 — Intrusive ads

*2026-06-23, version 6.40*

I normally don’t leave reviews, but lately when I use this app, a random ad will blare out of my speaker even though my phone is on mute. This is completely unacceptable and renders this app useless in a professional setting. I can no longer trust it.

### 5/5 — It’s all about the base

*2026-08-20, version 6.41*

Spanish Dictionary will help you form the solid base you need for those interested in being highly fluent.

I use Spanish Dictionary every day and after over ten years of seriously studying Spanish it remains my go to dictionary and so much more.

I use the paid version and recommend it. It saves a lot of time and keeps you from getting distracted.

¡Buena suerte!

### 5/5 — Please add dark mode

*2026-08-20, version 6.41*

It’s the thing that’s keeping me from doing the language lessons

### 5/5 — If you want to increase vocabulary

*2026-08-19, version 6.40*

Excellent app to increase knowledge of a foreign language. Easy to use. Fun games, puzzles and speech recognition to master pronunciation.

### 5/5 — Se aprende aquí

*2026-08-17, version 6.40*

Este app is muy fácil usar y tremendo maestro.

### 5/5 — The app is organized for success

*2026-08-17, version 6.40*

I have been using the app daily for 4 months and I have already been able to have limited conversations with Spanish speakers. If you follow the lesson plans, do a little vocab, and add grammar where needed, you can move at a pretty good pace.

### 5/5 — Easy & helpful!

*2026-08-16, version 6.40*

Easy access from Spanish to English and English to Spanish translations. Also, hearing Spanish words pronounced is extremely helpful.
