(Aerators, tillers, mowers etc) On top of that, you would think there would be an immediate search box when you first logon as I’m assuming most people download this app when they have a need to find some thing. The search isn’t user friendly. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Geo location didn’t work *2023-09-11* Geolocation does not even work. Probably a scam. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2023-05-19* I want to start using this app but it freezes up at location settings…. ### 1/5 — Only ONE tool available in a large city *2023-04-01* (1) In the 10th largest city in the U.S. they have exactly ONE tool available. (2) You can’t browse without signing up for an acct. (It leads u to believe u can, but it doesn’t show even the one tool that’s actually available.) (3) Forces u to give permission for camera access to take pictures of your tools, even if want to just rent from others. (4) Can’t browse inventory on website, forced to download the app. ### 1/5 — This is a pure scam App! Never ever use this App in your life time! *2022-11-11* This App is a professional scam App, when you apply your personal account, it’ll request you fill a form with 100% of your private information including your SSN, your address, your name, all your bank account information including card number & CVV number, I did it then I found out after I uploaded all my personal information & the tools pictures & price I want to rent, I won’t even able to find my tools pictures at all! This is a pure scam App! Don’t use it at all in your life time! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 ### 1/5 — No tools available! *2022-03-03* Would be a great app if there were actually tools to rent. **Developer response:** We are still gathering users on the tool owner side, right now it's spread across the entire US. Sorry for the issues. Hoping we can get more users soon. We are 100% bootstrapped so resources are a bit tight. ### 1/5 — Not giving my debit card to unknown app *2021-12-19* Setup is crap. They require last 4 of social and debit card info including secret code and birth date(?) that it won’t let you enter. Very suspect. They could at least let you preview tools available in your area. Not willing to take the chance. Cool concept though. Get it right and I will use it. **Developer response:** This is to protect people from bad players out there. We have to be super careful. Sorry you found this to be an issue. ### 1/5 — Phone number does not work *2021-09-16* Can’t get past 2FA using phone number. Does not recognize phone number. Is it looking for space in between? ### 1/5 — Not sure where the positive reviews came from *2021-08-03* All the positive reviews are from 2 years ago and highly suspect. At most there’s like 20 tools available. App interface is nice, but not super useful without tools. ### 1/5 — Good idea, no users *2021-01-11* Great app idea, but terrible execution as there are no users, even within major cities. To add insult to injury, all the positive reviews are within a few days of each other and may not be real. **Developer response:** Thanks for your review! We understanding that growing the user base is the key concern right now, and it's our #1 priority. ### 2/5 — No listings *2023-05-06* I wanted to preview the tools available in my local area before I sign up but there’s none to view. Zero! This app has promise of anyone used it. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Genius App *2019-07-31* Buddy of mine recommended this app when i need a tool while restoring a 65 chevy impala! So clutch!! Will continue to use this app going further!! ### 5/5 — Very convenient. *2019-07-24* I was able to find a specific saw blade near me right away! ### 5/5 — Great idea! *2019-07-24* This is a perfect idea for young people that haven’t been able to buy all the tools they want yet! Looks amazing ### 5/5 — SO NEEDED *2019-07-22* I can’t believe it took this long for a P2P tool rental app to make it out. It’s just so practical! I move around a lot so I try to keep things pretty minimalistic—which means very few tools. Who wants to drag a giant ladder or heavy drill around from one state to the next?! Being able to rent it is so much more convenient...and I love that, like Airbnb, it gives people another way to earn money from stuff they already own. ### 5/5 — Easy to use and user friendly *2019-07-19* App is crafted extremely well and very easy to use. ### 5/5 — DIY *2019-07-19* This is perfect! I hate going to home depot to buy new tools. ### 5/5 — Clever idea *2019-07-18* Glad someone came up with the idea, to compete with the big guys. Cool app. ### 5/5 — 100% Reccomend *2019-07-18* Sparetoolz is an easy to navigate convenient app for tool rental! Sparetoolz has been a lifesaver for me because I don’t own a lot of tools but I do occasionally need them. This app has saved me a ton of time and money because I no longer need to run to Home Depot for a drill, I just rent one from someone nearby! Think of sparetoolz as Airbnb for tools! ### 5/5 — Awesome Interface *2019-07-18* From the first time opening the app, you can see how user friendly and intuitive the interface is. A lot of options, great renter information. Awesome app! ### 3/5 — Cool idea but I can’t seem to get it to search *2021-01-08* I dig the concept and the app is easy to navigate and set up however I can’t seem to search for tools unless there truly isn’t anyone using this app within a 500 mile radius. There website seems to be down as well. **Developer response:** Hey sorry about that - there was some issues with the site. We are back now. In terms of the tool search, where are you located? There might not be that many people around you with tools. --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
