Spårhunden is the app for handlers who train tracking with their dog — utility tracking per SBK, IGP-FH, and decoy training. GPS-record the entire route, drop articles where you actually lose them, monitor the laying time, and automatically capture the weather for the location. Everything is stored locally and synced via your own iCloud. Weather warnings (Pro) When gale, storm or thunder is forecast within four hours, Spårhunden warns you as you start a new track and while you are laying one. Turn it on or off under Settings → Pro features. Two new badges Gale Defier and Storm Chaser, for tracks laid in hard gusts. Like every badge: free. Your first template is free Templates used to require Pro. Now anyone can save a layout and lay it again; Pro is only needed from the second template onwards. A calmer results page Weather has moved up and has a heading of its own. Weather and Elevation & pace can be collapsed, and the app remembers how you left them. Also • Article dwell time is now adjustable from 1 to 10 seconds, defaulting to 7, and articles are marked at 5 metres • Precipitation now shows in the app's language on older tracks too • Shares show the weather from when the track was run, not when it was laid • The Nearby tracks screen now illustrates what the feature does • The track colour picker fits on one row on small screens ### 2.1 — 2026-08-03 Now you decide how the picture sits in the share card. Adjust the picture. Drag to move and pinch to zoom, so the right part of the photo ends up in the card. Until now the picture was always cropped from the centre, which rarely came out the way you intended. A Reset button takes you back to the starting point. Pro follows you. If you reinstall the app or change phone, your Pro is still there, without you having to do anything. The app asks before pictures are deleted. Photos cannot be brought back, so now you get a confirmation first. This applies both to your dog's portrait and to pictures on a track. Also a fix for the share card preview on iPad and in split view, where the card could end up too tall. Thank you for tracking with us. ### 2.0.1 — 2026-07-26 A maintenance update. This time it is mostly about keeping what you already have safe. Widgets work again. They were missing for many people after 2.0. They are back, and you do not need to do anything. You can see whether iCloud sync is running. A new row in Settings shows whether your tracks are actually being saved to your iCloud account, and when that last happened. Until now there was no way to tell. Sharing asks what you want to share. When you share a track you now always choose yourself whether your friend sees the track or follows it blind. Safer handling of your data if something goes wrong, plus a number of smaller adjustments to appearance and wording. Thank you for tracking with us. ### 2.0 — 2026-07-25 Our biggest update yet. We spent the time on two things: making the track you see match the track you walked, and making it faster to get started. More accurate tracking. We have reworked how positions are recorded. The track now follows the path you actually walked, with noticeably better precision, especially in dense forest where the signal is at its worst. Faster to get going. GPS calibrates in the background while you fill in the details, instead of in a separate step afterwards. When you are done you are met by the map and a single Start button. The aging time starts counting there. Same when you take the track: no separate calibration step. Next step. A card at the top of Tracks always shows the most relevant action, whether you have a track aging, a session to resume, or nothing on the go. Badges are now optional. You switch them on yourself under Statistics. Unlock several badges at once and you get one summary instead of one popup per badge. Simpler sharing. The share link is created as soon as you choose how to share the track, instead of in a separate step. Receive a shared track and you get a confirmation that it was imported, then land in the track list, ready to take it. Simpler start. You no longer need to add a dog before laying your first track. Assign one whenever you like. Confirmation before you finish. Both when laying and following, the app asks before the track is ended, so it does not happen by mistake.
