## What is SPARK NEC?

SPARK NEC is an copilot for electricians on the field. Snap a photo of electrical work, get an instant NEC code check with pass/fail verdicts and cited references. Apprentices submit inspections, journeymen review and sign off. Every correction improves the AI.

Job Types Overhaul

Expanded from 9 flat options to 28 job types organized into 8 collapsible categories (Rough-In, Finish/Trim, Service & Power, Conduit & Raceway, Commercial, Industrial, Low Voltage & Fire, Specialty). The picker now shows grouped sections you can tap to expand.
Added a close button and tap-outside-to-dismiss to the job picker — you're no longer forced to make a selection.
Removed the default job type setting from Settings since it's now selected contextually on the Capture screen.

Team Mode by Default

Solo mode now defaults to off so new users start in team mode.
When an apprentice opens the camera with solo mode off and no linked foreman, they get an alert prompting them to go to Settings and enter their foreman's invite code (or continue anyway).

Analytics

Added tracking for NEC Lookup searches (query, result count, article group), job type selections (which item and category), and foreman link alert responses (went to settings vs. continued anyway).

Onboarding Cleanup

Removed the old alpha tester Welcome screen with the server URL field. First login now silently connects to Railway and goes straight to home.

Housekeeping

Bumped version to 1.2.0 across app.json, Settings, Welcome, and the feedback email template.
Regenerated the Quick Start Guide PDF with your updated text (Journeyman → Foreman, removed Gemini mention, removed Connect to Server step, updated Solo Mode descriptions).

Apprentice↔Journeyman linking — journeymen generate a 6-character invite code, apprentices enter it to link up. Inspections then route directly between linked partners.
Solo Mode — lets users see all inspections on the server when they don't have a linked partner yet. On by default, and auto-disables when an apprentice links to a journeyman.
Advisor mode removed from the home screen (temporarily, until it's working properly)
AI consent dialog now appears at point of transmission (Apple compliance fix)
Account deletion added to Settings
