## What is Spark?

Spark is a writing warm-up app.

Use it before you start writing or whenever you feel stuck. Choose a warm-up, get the words moving, and return to your writing when you’re ready.

Adaptive Warm-Up

Write from prompts that adapt to your writing pace. There’s no progress bar—you decide when you’re warmed up. What you write during the warm-up isn’t saved, so you can get into the flow as quickly as possible.

Other Warm-Ups

• Show vs. Tell: rewrite a sentence from Tell to Show, or the other way around.
• Forbidden Word: find new ways to express an idea without using the given words.
• Writing with Context: receive a situation and write as much as you can in one minute.
• Words by Theme: quickly explore the words that come to mind from a given theme.

Each exercise works on a different aspect of writing, including rhythm, vocabulary, association, and scene-building.

Open Spark, warm up for a few minutes, and return to what you wanted to write.
