All the functionality any Bible would have, but with the advantage of changing it to any version or translation you require, such as KJV, NLV, NIV and many more. Additionally I have vision issues and it’s is bright, and font can be increased to larger. I read on my iPhone so this is a big perk. Jesus passages are red. I’m going to use it everyday. I love how it has bible courses that you can watch and as you are reading the bible you can watch videos on it. For example, if i’m on genesis, i go to watch and it has introductions and things like that! You can also have it read the bible to you. It’s presently open, but locked in place and will not re- lease by me touching my phone screen. I am unable to delete it , this is very annoying to me because it is of no use or service to me . Thanks in advance for help🙏😇 ### 1/5 — God’s Word Paired with Heresy *2020-08-23* I am rarely moved to write a review about an app. I have several Bible apps and tend to use the same 4 or 5. But this looked interesting and so I downloaded it. I will be removing it, sadly. While I appreciate the intent (pairing God’s Word with teaching on the areas of Scripture highlighted), there is no discernment used in the selection of Bible teachers/preachers. There are good teachers mixed in with a lot of bad teachers mixed in with heretical teachers. This is not ok. If you are new to Christianity, you need to understand that not everyone who says they are Christian, are Christian and you should not use this app for you will certainly end up learning serious and grievous untruths about our God. This app has a good intent and dangerous execution. There are better Bible apps available for free. **Developer response:** We're very sorry to hear you feel that way! Every resource on Spark Bible is reviewed prior to being added, but we do understand that not everyone will agree with every teaching. Christian doctrine, of course, has a rich and diverse history—even within what most mainstream Christians would consider "orthodox." In general, this term "orthodox" is what we strive for. It's not possible for Spark Bible to cater towards ever person's particular theological bent, but we do strive to make sure every resource falls within traditional orthodox Christian belief. Along with many churches, we believe this is best defined as following the main historic creeds (i.e., Apostles Creed, Nicene Creed, and the Creed of Chalcedon). Hopefully that helps explain things a bit. We do take issues of theology very seriously, but also understand that we can't please everyone. If you do have any particular resources you could point out to us we would love for you to reach out to us directly. ### 1/5 — Calvinism Leaning, Poor Bible App design *2020-06-22, version 1.0.4* What can I say about this bible app that can sum it up as a whole? Great idea bad execution. There is severe Calvinist bias which calls into question biblical accuracy in regards of teaching. Bible translations are again Calvinism bent with the NKJV, CSB, amplified and NIV missing. Lastly it’s resource section is basically a YouTube collection of Calvinism’s top 25 teachers. Overall I recommend Tecarta Bible App and Olive Tree. Both have non bias translations as well as deep text resources for the Christians to study. Cost is very low for great resources and most importantly you can avoid Calvinism all together in your biblical learning. I do not recommend this bible app at all.
