I just moved here in San Diego last month. Then, I met this app. It was really easy to set up n get started. At the time I just moved here, I barely knew anyone. So I needed THIS. I met a couple people through Sparkify. We have lunch several times a week because we got along so well. This app shows similar interests n distance from you, so you can find someone close with similar interests. This is so recommended to people who are new to their area or want a new connection. fIVE STAR to my new friend. You can sparkify your life ### 5/5 — Find Friends by Interest *2013-09-24, version 1.0* This app is brand new and based on the simple premise that lasting friendships are made through safe and easy introductions to others with things in common - "sparks." Each person registers their location and interests. Sparkify then shows those with similar interests and sorts them by distance. You can find people you have common interests with that are in proximity to you. The only qualm I have is that it would be nice to have all notifications centrally located in the side bar to give yet another added level of convenience. This great app gives you the chance to connect with others in a new way. Can't wait to use it at a conference. It's also very easy to set up and get moving. It is only starting in San Diego but I see it growing nationwide soon. It is great for discovering icebreakers to start conversations with people around you. I love the Sorting options, the simplicity of the setup, the fact that you can change your sparks at any time, and the ability to save profiles who you see regularly or have an ongoing Chat with in Favorites.
