## What is Speak Navajo Language Volume 1?

Yá'át'ééh! (Hello!). Welcome to “Speak Navajo”. 

This is the ultimate word dictionary for the Navajo language. "Speak Navajo" is a iPhone and iPad mobile device application that contains many Navajo and English words used for translation. At a touch of a finger, you can easily find Navajo words by searching the English word counterpart. As an enrolled member of the Navajo Tribe, I am providing all Navajo words that i have learned growing up on the Navajo reservation. As such, all Navajo words provided in this application are authentic and commonly used by the Navajo people.

As a user friendly option, the "Speak Navajo" application provides image and sound files. The image option is very useful in providing a visual that links to the Navajo word. In addition, a sound file is provided for every Navajo word that allows the user to hear the Navajo word being spoken.

The goal of "Speak Navajo" is to provide correct, accurate and commonly spoken Navajo words to everyone interested in learning and preserving the Navajo language. I love how I am able to hear indigenous speakers say the words. I am using many tools to start to learn Diné. This app, in conjunction with Duolingo is helping me grasp some very basic words which will then aid in my understanding more advanced learning like YouTube channels.

i haven’t delved too deep. I’m trying to learn Navajo on duolingo, so I think this will help a lot. Duolingo does not provide pronunciation after the first couple lessons. i hope this can make it a more complete experience.

This app shouldn't even be for sale. Most of the Navajo translations aren't even available. Only the basic words are available like numbers and colors. Everything else just says "word not available" in Navajo, just in English. Bought all four and am very disappointed .

The interface isn't very user friendly. It's ok. Some of the words are missed pronounced and one guy sounds like he hardly speaks navajo. I will not be buying the other volumes until this one is improved. Also, why are you adding ads after we've already purchased this app? Remove ads and I'll consider getting more apps.
