Definitely a good investment to have more phrases to use while traveling. I like how for each phrase the app has the written words, how an English speaker should attempt to pronounce the phrase, the spoken audio, and the option to play it slower if need be. I'm used to the come on with free apps, not the ones I paid for. Also, I didn't get too far before I got a pop up box inviting me to register for a free phrase a day. When I tried to register I got a lot of programming script and a message that I would have to try again later. I did. Same problem. But the message wouldn't leave the screen unless I rejected the "offer," so I couldn't get past the first basic phrases unless I declined. ### 5/5 — I love this app *2015-05-11, version 3.5* This app rocks!! The issue is that it has very very little content. The vast majority of phrases you'd use in everyday conversations aren't in here, even with the in-app purchases. I was excited about this app when I bought it here in the US. However, in practical usage in France over 3 weeks, I found it to be useless. The phrases are too basic, and not usable in actual conversation. Try to mirror what you'd say in a taxi, a hotel, or in a restaurant here, and then imagine the same situation in France and you'll see what I mean. E.g. Try ordering a typical breakfast you'd order using this app, and you will see what I mean. ### 1/5 — SAME AS FREE VERSION!! It has helped me during two trips to France and as a resource during language learning. A standout feature is that it can be used off line and it is not saturated with advertising. This app is excellent at giving lots of accessible audio examples . Its an invaluable tool to help get french pronunciation right. I would personally like to see an additional section called “Alphabet” .
