This app has it all
A well thought out app that teaches listening, speaking, and grammar. It’s actually addictive. Highly recommended!

What a kind review, thank you. I built SpeakTwice to make listening, speaking, and grammar feel like one flow rather than three separate chores, so "addictive" is the best compliment I could ask for. Grazie, and enjoy the learning. Stefano
Great app to learn Italian
I learned about this app after having already "graduated" from Duolingo and Babbel for Italian. I still did not know Italian, and was embarrassed to say I was studying, because when a native speaker would say anything, I had no clue what they were saying. I found this app, and was hoping it would bridge the gap between A - B "fluency" to more level C beginner - intermediate conversational.
Within a few lessons, I already had more to say when meeting a native speaker, and could more easily understand what they were saying to me. And, my pronunciation of Italian noticeably improved, rapidly.
I did not start at the beginning on this app, although I wish I did. There are many different paths to learning on this app, which I really like. If you want to focus on grammar, you can. If you want to learn new words and phrases or hear short stories, you can. If you want to engage with the AI tutor, you can. There are many more features and tools on the app. I like that you can learn at your own pace and change things up to keep it interesting.
I have been impressed by how I am actually learning Italian through the repetition of listening and repeating out loud.
It seemed silly at first to be walking around speaking gibberish, as I was repeating sentences in Italian. But, in a week or two, I actually heard my voice change and it sounded more authentically Italian. And, as I heard phrases being spoken by native speakers, I actually understood what they were saying without memorizing anything.
I definitely recommend this app to learn Italian!

Lou, this is the review every founder dreams of. I built SpeakTwice because I watched friends "graduate" from Duolingo and Babbel and still freeze when a native spoke to them. The gap you described, A/B on paper but lost in conversation, is the whole reason this app exists. Hearing that the repetition method actually changed the sound of your voice in a couple of weeks is wild to read. Keep going. And yes, the gibberish phase is normal. Everyone goes through it. Grazie di cuore. Stefano
