Can’t keep one channel as the main view which is beyond annoying. Speco REFUSES to add support for their older NVRs to their new software so you’re stuck with a 14 year old buggy trash application for your buggy trash NVRS. Never ever purchasing speco ever again and I’ll convert any new customer off of their broken system. ### 1/5 — No updates for 5 years? *2024-12-26, version 2.4.16* This app crashes more than grandpa falling asleep at the wheel. There have been no updates in 5 years? Please do a better job at supporting what you sell. Is the developer even monitoring this anymore? ### 1/5 — Trash App *2022-04-27* My alarm company “upgraded” our equipment and downloaded this app so we could view our cameras. The app worked for about a week and after that it kept giving a “Connection failed, trying to reconnect,” message on all of our devices. I have tried everything to get it working again. The developers of this trash app couldn’t care less about the lack of function, because I tried contacting them and they didn’t even attempt to resolve my problem. They also obviously don’t care, because they never respond to or even try to resolve all of the negative reviews posted here. It doesn’t make sense. The app doesn’t work, just remove the trash out of the App Store. ### 1/5 — Buggy freezes often NO OPTION TO DOWNLOAD FOOTAGE TO PHONE *2022-03-17, version 2.4.16* I had a more cost effective DVR that configured itself to go online with a QR code (never lost connection) with and app that was user friendly and allowed you to download any amount of footage (limited to space on your phone) instantly. The Speco DVR offers none of those things. The only reason I switched was for tech support, which can help with what I need. Waste of money. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work well *2022-02-22, version 2.4.16* I have had this app operating out security cameras for several years. I really wish Speco would come out with a better app or at least update this one so it works. So frustrating sometimes it works and sometimes I sign in and nothing happens. I try updating and nothing. I try rebooting the Speco player and nothing. It I had a few thousand dollars laying around I would replace the Speco system all together but with a DVR and 16 cameras I’m not motivated to do so at this time. I will say it does have a learning curve... probably why end users don’t understand it and have problems getting it to work, therefore, all the negative reviews. However, the double tap to load and unload a cam is far from intuitive and time saving. Tap to load, slide to change between, tap once to close would be my preference.
