## What is Spectra by Arc Signal?

Privacy starts with awareness.

A hotel room. A rental. A rideshare. A space you share. Spectra by Arc Signal brings Bluetooth activity, supported local-network services and close-range magnetic clues together—so a privacy check can be part of settling in.

An Experimental Apple Watch companion is included: collect Bluetooth clues without your iPhone nearby, then review them on iPhone later.

Recognize nearby Bluetooth activity

Get a 30-second Bluetooth snapshot without pairing. Names and broadcast clues suggest possible device families or models—from headphones and speakers to supported smart glasses and wearables. Focused checks narrow your review. Follow supported findings with fresh live signal-strength readings—not distance or direction.

Learn from your local network

Explore supported services from speakers, streaming players and smart-home products on your joined network. Useful clues, even without an exact model—not a scan of every nearby Wi-Fi radio or proof of a device's physical location.

Look for clues to concealed electronics

Some electronic components produce magnetic fields your iPhone's magnetometer may detect at close range—even without a recognizable wireless broadcast. In Area Sweep, repeatable changes may warrant a closer physical look. Practice with familiar objects.

Ordinary magnets, magnetic metal and phone accessories can affect readings. A magnetic change cannot identify a camera or microphone or prove recording. Some electronics produce little detectable change; a quiet reading does not rule out a device.

Collect on Watch. Review on iPhone.

Capture a 30-second Bluetooth sweep on Apple Watch. Keep Spectra active and the display fully awake; this is not background scanning. Save up to five local captures, then reconnect and open Spectra on your paired iPhone to review possible matches. Unsent captures are kept; full storage can block a sweep. Apple Watch is optional.

Notice what changes

Monitor radio activity against a baseline while your iPhone stays in one place. See a count of signal identities newly observed since that baseline—not ones seen earlier in this session. Review an activity snapshot without stopping your check. Changes do not prove a device arrived or left.

Your observations. Your control.

Scan interpretation runs on your iPhone. No account, in-app ads, subscription or in-app purchase. Scans aren't automatically sent to Arc Signal or an external AI service; sharing is your choice.

Explore a finding with optional on-device Apple Intelligence, or review a prepared prompt and evidence to share or copy to an external AI app. Recipient policies apply; AI can make mistakes.

Keep what matters

Save searchable sessions, pin findings and add personal notes. Pins and personal finding notes stay local, outside exports and AI explanations. Revisit magnetic graphs, export or import supported archives after review. Archived results are historical—not fresh measurements. Saved iPhone sessions aren’t automatically removed.

Built to keep getting better

Catalog and detection-engine improvements are included in App Store updates at no additional charge. Recheck eligible saved evidence with newer recognition—not new measurements. Originals stay unchanged; better matches aren't guaranteed.

Know the limits

Spectra cannot prove a device is hidden, recording or malicious. Names and matches don't authenticate identity. Silent, wired, shielded or unrecognizable devices may be missed; no findings is not an all-clear.

Checks need Spectra open and active. Results depend on signals, permissions, hardware and measurement quality. Inspect only places you are allowed to examine; respect privacy and facility rules.

Requires iPhone with iOS 27 or later. The optional Watch companion requires watchOS 27 or later and a paired supported iPhone. On-device AI needs compatible hardware and enabled, available Apple Intelligence.

### 5/5 — Very Cool

*2026-10-21*

The UI is intuitive, elegant, and engaging. It’s not just for “techie” people, but walks you through the functions in clear, plain language. Also a great price considering how powerful it is and how much info it provides.
