## What is Spectral?

Spectral shows the hidden metadata inside your photos and lets you remove it before sharing.

WHAT IT READS
• EXIF: camera, lens, exposure settings, date and time
• GPS location
• XMP and IPTC: editing software, history, captions, credits
• C2PA Content Credentials (provenance manifests)
• AI-related signals: generator tags, digital source type and similar markers left by editing or generative tools

WHAT IT DOES
• Scans a photo and lists every metadata block it finds, grouped and explained in plain language
• Flags fields that may cause a photo to be labelled as AI-generated or edited
• Removes selected metadata, or all of it, and saves a clean copy
• Keeps the original image untouched

SUPPORTED FORMATS
JPEG, PNG, WebP

PRIVACY
All processing happens on your iPhone. Photos are not uploaded, and the app does not collect or share personal data.

NOTE
Spectral reports the metadata present in a file. It does not determine whether an image was created by AI.
