Also the app keeps getting blurry picture. I don’t have that issue with any other app, so it’s not my internet connection or speed causing the issue. ### 2/5 — Unstable with frequent lockups *2026-08-20, version 9.71.1* While I appreciate being able to stream from my cable subscription, this is probably the worst streaming app on my Apple TV. It frequently freezes up or goes to a spinning star. Occasionally after a long pause it will continue streaming, but often I have to force it back to the home screen and start the app again. Frequently it will pop up an error code saying try again later. It's been locked up for 15 minutes just now and even multiple restarts of the app results in just the spinning star. I can go into all my other streaming services and they run fine. I thought it might be my Internet, but none of the other streaming apps freeze or lockup like the Spectrum app. They also load and stream, then I return to Spectrum and just get the spinning star that never seems to buffer or start playing. Spectrum has 1000 channels but because it’s an app carried on another platform all of the remotes have no numbers. So if you have 1000 channels, but your customer is unable to put in the direct number and go directly to that channel. It is a huge waste of time. Your love scrolling up or down until you get the number 200 or number 1350 that’s a stupid idea. On top of that the app itself is constantly freezing constantly messing up. It’s super frustrating if you’re watching a show and the show is stuttering. Netflix doesn’t do this, HULU doesn’t do this, HBO doesn’t do this, Apple TV doesn’t have this problem only spectrum ### 2/5 — They’re Still Charter *2026-07-26, version 9.70* Weak signal, keeps freezing and/or breaking up. Is too frequently unwatchable. I’m paying for this, but I’m not always getting it. Fix the issue, or refund me my money. ### 1/5 — Blocked Stations when using ATT Fiber Internet *2026-07-25, version 9.70* Recently, I changed my Internet provider to AT&T fiber. I wanted to run my Spectrum TV on AT&T fiber but I’m noticing half the channels are blocked out. I believe it thinks I’m not home. If Spectrum wants to be considered open, they should run seamlessly on any Internet provider. I was told by Spectrum Support that I need to be on Spectrum Internet. I often listen to TV in the background, with my screen off. This no longer works. Even worse, you can no longer switch apps without the TV app stopping. Please put it back the way it’s always been. While you’re at it, bring back being able to swipe to change channels while in portrait mode. I hadn’t opened it for a while so it kicked me out. Now I’m in an infinite loop where I can’t login. It wants me to start a free trial (even though I’m paying for it) and when I X out of it, it says Sign In another way but takes me to my phones settings. Doesn’t ask for a login. So annoying and it always does this. Literally can’t use the app right now.
