## Most critical reviews (8 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Low quality app

*2026-08-20*

Came from the Babysteptothemic page and was curious. I don’t mind apps that charge money, what I do mind is apps that are bad charging money.

App lacks functionality, and you don’t really get anything else other than the free tool that she offers on her website.

I’d say if you want a better experience download a more established app, and just use her website since it offers the same thing for free.

### 1/5 — I'd find another app

*2026-08-19*

I came here from the Instagram videos because I thought the app was supposed to be the free alternative to the more premium versions out there. Turns out the app has the quality of a free app but the price of a premium app 😭. Dishonest practices

### 1/5 — Terrible app do not download

*2026-08-19*

One of the worst speech improvement app ive used. I regret downloading this, definitely better apps out there. Super low effort, greedy influencer scamming her followers trying to do a quick cash grab. Should be taken down from the App Store

### 1/5 — “Free” but pay $70 yr or $8 a month????

*2026-08-17*

Title says it all. Make this way cheaper. Better free alternatives out there.

### 1/5 — Low effort copycat product

*2026-08-17*

The product here is any feature anyone can just vibe code. The creator behind this, Mona is a total sellout. I was watching her initially and she positioned herself as more of a learner getting better at speech now she’s trying to turn her whole fanbase into her AI slop app for revenue. Wellspoken is way better alternative. Atleast make a real app if you’re going to charge your fans

### 5/5 — Exciting app!

*2026-08-20*

The interface is well-designed and user friendly. I love the cute graphics too! I’m very excited to continue using it and improve my speech

### 5/5 — Definitely Worth It

*2026-08-19*

Speaking about random topics makes it really easy to practice your speaking skills and definitely helps me on practicing for interview questions that I am not expecting. I love that it analyzes the speech after and provides personalized feedback.

Not sure why people are complaining about the app not being free. It costs money to build, host, and run the backend systems for apps.

### 5/5 — amazing app for speech

*2026-08-17*

I found this app through Baby Steps to The Mic's Instagram. I had been following her for a long time and love the way that she breaks down improving articulation. I was so excited when she launched this app to practice one-minute impromptu speaking because it's something that I've been wanting to do for a while but haven't had the motivation to do so. This app is great. It has tons of topics to choose from. The analysis is so helpful for me to see my filler words and how to improve my speech structure. Highly recommend!!
