Speech therapy treatment software for articulation difficulty caused by apraxia of speech or other speech difficulties. The aim of this app is to increase the intensity of treatment for people with apraxia, combining J. Rosenbek's integral stimulation approach with B. Hill's carrier phrase facilitation drills. This is the original Australian version of the application, with all audio and video recorded by the Australian speech pathologist Carol Bishop. The voice is suitable for countries like Great Britain but for speakers with an American accent we recommend the US version instead. This software is especially helpful to those who need to hear and see a sound made, for example, patients with motor speech difficulty due to speech apraxia (verbal or oral apraxia affecting speech). Provides multimedia full-motion video cues, for independent speech practice. Cues are for individual phonemes (sounds) as well as full words. This app enables intensive independent practice for Motor Speech Disorders, with immediate auditory feedback. This free application covers the 'W' consonant and provides rhyming word (minimal pairs) practice. This application shows how to produce the "W" sound and words beginning with "W". It encourages speech, even in people with severe speech difficulties. This easy to use iPad application contains 39 videos, sound clips and colour photos designed to help adults and children to produce the 'W' consonant speech sound in isolation, in words and in sentences. Now includes recording, playback, rhyming words and randomization. Can’t find which… But our (expensive ) iPad is only iOS 9 We desperately need to use an ap like this- but it wouldn’t cost $20 it would cost over $500 to buy a new iPad to run it!!! And if I do buy a cheaper secondhand version with the bare minimum, iOS… Can I get a guarantee that you won’t change the minimum requirements any time soon and make my new iPad all also redundant??? Isn’t there anything that can be done?? It’s not such a complex ap that needs an up to date iOS (it seems to me) Pls help us! ### 4/5 — A good workhorse *2012-12-19* This lite app was a great taster for the full app. It gave me an exact example using the "w" sound so I knew what to expect with the complete version. Very practical, no frills, lots of phrases and sentence completion tasks for me to use with speech impaired children and adults. ### 4/5 — A great taster *2012-12-06* I have always loved the Speech Sounds on Cue CD-ROM - specifically for adults with dyspraxia. I was SOOO happy to see that it has been made into an app. This Lite version allows me to download it on clients' iPads for them to "have a go". The complete program is very useful allowing for lots of independent practise -which is so much easier if you have an iPad. This Lite Version IS just a taster, but allows my clients to download it and give it a go. ### 1/5 — Speech sounds on cue lite *2012-11-18* I agree with the previous reviewer. This is not an app but an advertisement. I am not able to purchase the app due the lack of adequate examples in the lite version . I am unable to even trial it with clients to determine it' s relevance . ### 3/5 — A good start *2012-07-19* I good app, but there are a few things that would be better if it was made more appealling. For example instead of a dry looking mouth, using bright red lipstick to draw the attention to the lips. I do realise this is the lite version and with just one letter. I would love to see another letter ### 2/5 — A limited demo *2012-04-06* The free app appears to be a demo of how it works, using the letter W. That's all. It says words, shows you the mouth shape, then records as you practice. So the real app may be excellent, but it's a stretch to even call this a lite version.
