I hate that. He was a very talented person who carried on his work up till he died. I dont no what upset me more the description that is misleading people into buying this thinking 1 Speaking like professor Hawking is a form of entertainment and is funny. so you think any one using a communication device / app is entertaining and funny. or to be laughed at. 2 or you accidentally brought this app as you were looking for a communication app for your a friend or loved one and knew that professor Hawkin used software to communicate. i feel miss led into buying this app the description is offensive. it is not fun to have to talk like a computerise machine day in day out. i know that was professor Hawkin choice , like me i use the lucy voice on my communication app. i wouldn't change my voice either . but what upsets me the most is the company behind the app think its funny to sound like the professor. mnd / als is a terrible condition and you die a very painful death, you suffocate and choke to death because you can no longer control your muscles that make your lungs work. this isnt funny to me! you loose mobility and are trapped in a body that doesn't work and your still able to think , thankfully with switches or eyeagze you can still , paint , teach, design and hold down your job. so i complain to apple saying that besided it being an accidental buy due to the description and the pictures make it look like it would work like a genuine aac app. i wanted it removed be cause it was offensive and proffessor hawkin had just died , asnd it would offend many people who had no vice and used a communication aid or offend professor Hawkin family friends and who he worked with. they said" rather than take it down, write a review about this app so persons needing a communication app no not to buy this app" so i did. what also gets me is my only communication device has now become nothing more than a door stop i hope apple realise that i realise on my ipad my iphone and my iPod and my mac mini for more then entertainment. its my voice , my way to communicate and you just stolen it. so apple when you updated you stole my voice i want it back. you need to relize that something needs to be done yes even lost voice guy uses an ipad he find this app funny but loosing our voices because our mac , ipad ,ipod touches and iphones dont and cant download the latest os hurts and we cant do anything about it but Tim cook and apple , like steve jobs and steve woznaic apple can fix this problem. and must fix this problem ### 1/5 — This does not work *2019-12-07, version 1.0.2* From the reviews I should have not wasted space on this but I got it tried it out and it was complete crap and it doesn’t even sound like Steven hawking I do not recommend this at all😡🤬😤☹️😾👿 ### 1/5 — Rubbish Absolute Rubbish!!! *2019-07-15, version 1.0.2* Doesn't sound even remotely like his synthesiser, the ads are horrendous and more often than not an ad will pop up between the time it takes to speak what was written......just a terrible app. ### 1/5 — I can not download this app for some reason *2019-05-31, version 1.0.2* I can not download this app for some reason and it's free ### 1/5 — Warning: fullscreen popover ads *2019-05-10, version 1.0.2* That’s all I have to say about it. For example, write an amount of English text, and then set the language to German, it is really funny - like Harry Enfield with his ‘Jurgen the German’ character. Make phone calls to your mates, using number withheld - translating English with a German accent. It’s an 80’s-style speech synthesizer, which is exactly the effect I was looking for.
