However, more sounds (even importing the Apple defaults) would make it 5 star ### 3/5 — Good, but *2019-02-16* Needs a vibrate alarm option as well as the chime or silent option. Does not work on lock screen. Would be useful to use in meetings if it continued to count down while locked, then chimed or vibrated at end. It works fine and is better than the other app I downloaded. It was so good that I paid for the upgraded version. I have a few complaints though. First and most obvious, the app doesn't change orientation when you turn the iPad. It's not a deal breaker but I have my iPad setup like a laptop so I literally have to have it sitting on the keyboard when I'm using it in class. Second, I cannot change the colors of the timeline. The minimum time for my speeches is 3 minutes, but the timeline starts green. It would be nice to change the first color to red, then green, then yellow, then orange, and then red again. Which brings me to my last complaint, I would like to be able to add time markers or take them away, and have more color options for the time markers. I know this app is meant for speeches and speech practice, but the applications could be so much more if those options were available. Overall great app and you really can't beat it for $1, so I gave it 4 stars. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No Instruction *2024-05-23* Operation is crippled and dysfunctional ### 1/5 — Keeps redownloading to my phone *2022-10-21, version 1.0.5* I’ve deleted this app 3 times and each time I download a new app this one some how magically reappears. Each warning should be configurable to the same or different sound. The ending should be configurable to a different sound from the warnings. This works very easily it includes a traffic light colour and has an adjustable warning time before the complete time is up. I chose this one because it is simple to reset and and switch the time limits (once you are familiar with it). I've used it to time multiple forums held at area political clubs and committee meetings. It's worked know an iPad and iPhone for various events. The candidates have had no complaints. We are happy that you found Speech Timer useful :) ### 5/5 — Simple yet Elegant *2015-06-12, version 1.0.1* I have been looking quite se time (pun intended) for a timer to use at 12 Step meetings. They all seem to be using single time counters that have to be reset at the warning (last minute) point and reset again for the next speaker. This works so well. The large font size, the bold colors, the subtle yet clear tones - I love it. I doubt I will need the upgrade that adds second and third warning periods but bought it anyway to support the app maker. ### 4/5 — Great app except for one thing *2024-04-13* This is the best timer app I’ve found for speakers, except the overtime timer should definitely be in RED, not purple. ### 4/5 — Great app but.... *2020-06-18* Great and simple timer but needs 1.
