### 4/5 — Great app for elementary students

*2023-04-13, version 4.1.12*

My students really benefit from the videos displaying the correct articulator placement. I also really like the ability to tap the tabs on the bottom to change the position of the sound in the word as well as the level you are working on. It’s great so far! Can’t wait to continue using it and maximizing my data with the in app progress graphing.

### 4/5 — Good for school based therapy

*2022-10-25, version 4.1.11*

I have previously used Artic Pics and Articulation station apps. I currently use speech tutor deluxe. I really like the videos for showing placement on this app. The price point is better than comparable apps. I also like that I can progress monitor multiple students during a single session. I wish the data was split by initial, medial, final and that it was easier to select those options during card deck practice. The built in graphing is great and an easy way to show students their progress.

### 4/5 — Great oral placement visual

*2022-01-22, version 4.1.5*

The oral placement visual front & sideways has truly been helpful for clients. I’m not keen on the games but it’s not why I bought it.

### 5/5 — This is great!

*2021-12-04, version 4.1.5*

I just love Speech Tutor Pro! As an SLP in a Kindergarten through grade 5 school, I’m always looking for something that will appeal to all ages and abilities. The videos help
So Many of my students with correct placement. They actually ask me to show them the videos. The games and cards are engaging for students of all ages. I use Speech Tutor Pro all the time on my iPad.

### 4/5 — Speech Tutor Pro

*2021-12-01, version 4.1.5*

Looking forward to using this as I get to know the format and how to navigate the app. I think it will be a nice change of pace for students who prefer technology based activities, or for any student, for that matter.

### 4/5 — Excellent Artic App

*2021-12-01, version 4.1.5*

I use this app on almost a daily basis! I especially love the videos that show my students how their articulators should move to make the target sound. It’s helpful that you can switch between front and side views as well as slow down and speed up the videos. I also really like that you can record videos of your students and share with parents. I haven’t used the create your own deck feature yet because I just don’t have time right now, but I am so happy that this is an option and look forward to using it in the future. The theme selection is amazing! I mostly work with middle and high school kids, so the “clean” theme is perfect because it doesn’t look “little kid-ish.” It is truly an app you can use with any age - very versatile! I appreciate that there are game options, but I haven’t used them as my students prefer physical board/card games. I do wish there were more minimal pair decks (although I’m happy I have the option to create my own). Overall, this is a wonderful app and I look forward to using it for many years!

### 5/5 — So helpful!

*2021-11-30, version 4.1.5*

I’m an elementary school based SLP. This app has been extremely helping for giving my students a visual for articulatory placement. It has also helped me teach interns about proper placement and how to instruct the students during therapy. I’m so happy to see that the app was recently updated! I haven’t had a chance to try out all of the features, but this is one therapy app I couldn’t do without. I highly recommend it!

### 5/5 — Great versatile app!

*2021-11-30, version 4.1.5*

I’ve been using speech tutor pro for a few years now, and it’s replaced most of physical cards, especially with having to travel to multiple buildings.
Great App!

### 5/5 — Great videos!

*2021-11-30, version 4.1.5*

Love this app for many reasons, but in a world in which masking is a reality, the placement videos have been a lifesaver! Clear masks are a descent compromise, but visibility for articulately movements is definitely impacted. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — My go to app!

*2021-11-30, version 4.1.5*

Speech Tutor pro is my go to app for elementary school! I love the videos for teaching placement and the kids love the rest of the app! I use it daily.

### 5/5 — Helpful with new kiddos

*2021-11-30, version 4.1.5*

The articulation videos have been most helpful with me when working with a student who is new to speech therapy. My students enjoy the comparison feature

### 4/5 — Great visual support!

*2021-11-30, version 4.1.5*

I have been using Speech Tutor for years! The visual support this app gives has been very helpful to many of my students struggling with various sounds. The ability to watch themself make a sound in conjunction with the videos has been instrumental in making progress on multiple occasions.

### 5/5 — Great Support

*2021-11-30, version 4.1.5*

This app has been amazing for my speech students. It allows immediate feedback and I love that I can show them progress on a colored chart. The technical support has been amazing with constant updates available. Thank you for developing a great app.

### 5/5 — Awesome SLP go to app

*2021-10-30, version 4.1.2*

I love the videos, targets, photos and it’s versatile enough to use with young and secondary students. Homerun!!

### 5/5 — Speech Tutor Pro

*2021-10-29, version 4.1.2*

Wow! This app has everything! There is good information, excellent visual representations of how sounds are made, and assessment and treatment applications. The activities are engaging and can take kids from sound practice through storytelling with their sounds and words. I highly recommend this app for SLP’s who are working with kids who have speech and language goals.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2023-10-27, version 4.1.12*

First app I have ever paid for. Waste of money - I would like a refund! Have not been able to use. Most often crashes within a minute of loading. If it doesn’t crash it’s only because it freezes. Unbelievably disappointing! Edit - just looked at my review. - who the H put “MamaGotItGoinOn” as the user name?!?! Wasn’t me!

### 1/5 — Used to be good

*2021-08-20, version 4.0.2*

I am sorry i paid for this. I used to use it alot in my adult practice, but now will need to find something else. It was clean and non age biased. Now it is overwhelming, childish, and just not useful.

### 1/5 — Please help

*2021-06-05, version 2.2.5*

This app is not working at all. It freezes as soon as I touch anything; I have not even been able to try it, nor add a name or select decks, or anything. It freezes after anything is tapped.

### 2/5 — New update is distracting

*2021-09-02, version 4.0.8*

I’m really disappointed with the new update with all of the themes. The content is difficult to navigate. I would have preferred the developers to keep the simpler design and add features such as printing or emailing word lists for carryover practice. If we could have clearer videos for voiced and unvoiced productions that would be helpful.

### 2/5 — Needs more

*2018-11-05, version 2.2.4*

Needs to have more stimulus items for the price. Not enough content of words, phrases, sentences at this time. Please add value to this by adding more.

### 2/5 — Want to give a better rating but...

*2018-10-26*

This app is great. It's a bunch of apps rolled into one. It helps clients with the placement of their articulators, it helps screen new clients to know what sounds they need to work on, and it also allows you to use it's own set of cards to work on sounds that clients need to improve. It even allows you to keep track of their progress as they go. The issue that I have is with the graph that is used by the app to track clients' progress. Dates are all mixed up and sometimes it is hard to figure out if the data should be read from the left or from the right. It's a great concept and it has a lot of potential to be an even better app. But right now, it needs some more work.

### 3/5 — Needs some bugs fixed

*2023-09-26*

I really loved using this app in therapy as it provides visuals, videos and a quick screener. I like that I am able to add in my student names and select their target phonemes. However, since it has updated, I’ve had so many issues. It is constantly closing when I try to use it, which is frustrating when I paid for the app.

### 3/5 — Can’t read font

*2023-07-26, version 4.1.12*

The white clouds in the background are the same colour as the font in the flash card game. So I can’t read the settings and various options we can select. I do see a checkbox.

### 3/5 — Like it, looking forward to seeing more

*2018-10-17, version 2.2.3*

I like some of the options and am interested in seeing some of the anticipated updates coming soon. I’d like to have options for vowel change and saving or storing my own words too. Video/real productions are a nice feature.

### 3/5 — Like it, but could be better

*2018-10-10*

This app is currently incomplete. I love the concept, the visual examples of how to produce the sounds, the pictures and the targeted phonemes. However, it’s hard to manipulate between screens and I can’t have multiple students on at the same time. Also when you press the “game” icon, it says “coming soon”. If they haven’t developed it yet, why did they release it? This app has great potential, it’s just not there yet.

**Developer response:** Hi there. Thank you for your feedback!Just to let you know you can see multiple clients in a session. After you have added names by selecting “add name“ you just need to select the names you want in a session and then tap “practice cards”. The names you selected will show at the top of the screen. You might want to visit our “tutorials“ section to see how to do this.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app for articulation

*2022-11-02, version 4.1.11*

Wonderful app that I use with a variety of students! They enjoy the videos to get an idea of how sounds are made and it is so easy to target multiple sounds.

### 5/5 — Lots of different activities

*2022-10-20, version 4.1.11*

I love that in addition to the articulation activities there are games, sound loaded stories, language stories, parent information, and screening material.

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2022-10-20, version 4.1.11*

I have had this app for years and I have used it numerous times. I love how I can show my students what their tongues are supposed to be doing. The kids love the games and pictures.

### 5/5 — I use this daily

*2022-10-20, version 4.1.11*

I love this app and use it with all of my artic kiddos. Many of my kids are older students, and they don’t find the app too babyish. This also works well for the kiddos I see via teletherapy. This app has been well worth the money!

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2022-10-20, version 4.1.11*

I am an itinerant SLP who covers 4 schools with about 80 students. I love this app because I can take it with me on my iPad (very portable!) and—the best part—I can email results and practice words right to the parent! No need to make copies or spend extra time trying to get materials together! This is absolutely my new favorite thing!

### 5/5 — Excellent app with useful visuals

*2022-10-20, version 4.1.11*

I love using this app with my school based s/l students. The app has great visuals showing placement for articulation of sounds. The app is fun and engaging for my students. Glad I got this!

### 5/5 — Favorite App!

*2022-10-05, version 4.1.11*

This is one of my go-to apps, especially when traveling. All articulation and phonology cards in one place, along with simple games and stories, makes my therapy bag a little light and a lot less to remember when packing up for the day.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2022-10-05, version 4.1.11*

This app makes my artic clients so much easier. I have saved goals for each and can toggle between children in groups. My favorite part is the parent email option to share results and targets after our session for home practice!

### 5/5 — Great videos

*2022-02-18*

Speech tutor pro has great videos to show my students.

### 5/5 — Very versatile

*2022-02-11, version 4.1.9*

I like that I can pull this up on my iPad, and also use it on my laptop when doing teletherapy, which makes this app very versatile.
