It was free, with a small ad banner that was reasonable and did not get in the way. Now the experience is completely different. I have had to sit through multiple ads that force you to wait before you can continue just one after the other non-stop. When you enter the app, you are also pushed towards a subscription again. For a simple speed test app, this is excessive. I understand that developers need to make money, but the amount of advertising and subscription prompting has made the app unpleasant to use. I will not be using it again. There are plenty of other speed test apps on the App Store that provide a better experience without being this aggressive with monetisation.
