DIRECTIONAL GATES

Create START → END gate pairs to measure specific sections of your drive. During a checked zone, speed. displays your relative average, progress, remaining distance and comparison with your selected limit. 

Gate detection uses directional circular areas designed to tolerate normal GPS inaccuracies and gaps between location samples.
Free users can create or import up to two manual gate pairs. speed. Pro provides unlimited gates.

AUTOMATIC SESSIONS

Optionally let speed. detect vehicle activity and begin recording after a cancellable countdown. Sessions can continue in the background when the required Location, Motion and notification permissions are enabled.

A Live Activity keeps essential trip information available on the Lock Screen, Dynamic Island and supported CarPlay system presentations.

TRIPS AND RECEIPTS

Every completed session creates a detailed Trip Receipt containing:
 • Date, time, duration and distance
 • Minimum, average and maximum speed
 • Route trace
 • Completed and interrupted checked zones
 • Roundtrip measurements
 • PDF and PNG export
 • Sharing and printing

All trips are stored in your history for later review.
