Pas de carte

Appl pas précise : vitesse autorisée 110 km - vitesse affichée : 90 km
Il n’y a pas de carte

Not working as described

Shows on CarPlay but says I send to subscribe even though I paid for subscription. Speed limits rarely show and wrong more than correct.

worked OK, then quit. developer unresponsive.

it worked marginally during the trial period, so i bought a year’s subscription. then it stopped getting speed limit data from open maps, which every other speedometer program was able to do immediately. emailed developer. i ran through basic troubleshooting (reboot, uninstall/reinstall) to no avail. emailed developer a few days later. after a week i just uninstalled it and got a refund. waste of time.

Much improved

Have had subscription version for over 1 year. Glad I stuck with it after initially poor 1 star review. Latest version a major improvement, camera now functions on uk roads so giving greater responsiveness and accuracy. Will continue to use as a vital aid in trying to stick to the myriad changes of speed limits on modern roads.

FAQ

What does the Speedometer Limit Camera app do?

This app detects European speed limits in real-time using your phone's camera and map data. It displays your current speed alongside the detected speed limit and provides warnings if you are driving too fast. It also offers CarPlay support for a seamless in-car experience.

How does the app detect speed limits?

It uses a hybrid detection method. The app's camera recognizes European speed limit signs while you drive. This is enhanced by map-based data from OpenStreetMap, which provides information for areas without physical signs, like city zones. Both sources are combined for reliable speed limit indications.

Is the app free to use?

The app is free to download and use, offering core functionality. An optional in-app purchase is available to remove advertisements and enjoy an ad-free experience. This purchase helps support the ongoing development and maintenance of the advanced detection features.

What are the limitations of the app?

The app is optimized for European road signs only and does not support US speed limits. In low-light or adverse weather, camera recognition may be less accurate. It also may not detect 'end of limit' or town boundary signs, and occasional missed or false detections can occur.

Who is this app designed for?

This app is designed for drivers in Europe who want to stay informed about current speed limits and avoid speeding. It's particularly useful for identifying speed limits in urban areas or zones where signs might be absent or easily missed.
