SpeedSurf turns your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch into a precise water-sports speedometer. Press start, ride, and watch your real-time speeds, leg averages and α500 unfold on a map. Stop, save, and compare against your own records and the global feed.

Recording is hardened the way Apple does it and then some — your ride survives crashes, memory pressure, and iOS trying to suspend the app in your pocket. If anything ever interrupts it, the session is recovered automatically. Every GPS point is written to disk the moment it arrives.

HEAR YOUR SPEED (no screen needed)
Spoken announcements while you ride — "New 2 second record, 31.4 knots" — plus countable record beeps and a GPS-lost siren. Works with the phone locked, on mute, under your wetsuit, and your music keeps playing.
