## What is Spela?

Spela finds you tennis players at your level and gives every match a rank.

FIND SOMEONE TO PLAY
See who's near you at your level and set up a match in the app. Post an open match and let someone take it, or send an offer to a person. New in town, travelling, or out of hitting partners at your club: this is what Spela is for.

EVERY MATCH COUNTS
Play, log the score, and both of you confirm it. Five placement matches give you a rank, from Iron to Challenger, and it moves with every ranked result. Casual matches never touch your rank, so you can hit with friends without keeping score.

HONEST BY DESIGN
Your level is measured from your results, not chosen from a list. No-shows are counted and visible. Nothing you could ever buy changes the ranking.

PLAY WITH PEOPLE NOT ON SPELA YET
Log a match against a friend who hasn't joined. They get a link, and when they sign up the match is already theirs.

THE SMALL THINGS
Match-day reminders. Matches in your calendar. A passport card with your rank, form and flag that you can share. Profile links to Instagram, Strava and the rest.

Spela is free. It works with two players, so start with one friend. Built in Trondheim, Norway, for tennis players everywhere.

Weather, on Home. The card says whether the courts are worth it today ("Play after 15:00 · Courts drying until then, 18° after") and tap it for the whole day, hour by hour, into tomorrow. Rain, wind, cold, heat, drying courts and daylight all count. In the Nordics it reads the radar for the next two hours; everywhere else, Weather by Apple.

Share the weather. Send today's card as a link; it opens Spela on that place, with your face on it.

Clubs and courts. Every club in the app, nearest first, and courts that belong to a club now wear its crest. New clubs in Bodø, Lisbon, Carvoeiro, Estoril and San Marino.

Open matches near you no longer say who posted them until you open one.

A gentler Founding Member page, and a friendlier welcome for new players.

Plenty of small fixes. Thank you for playing, and tell me what to build next: fabian@spela.no.
