Have you ever wanted to control your home with your wand? Well… now you can. Spellbook turns a movement of your hand into a spell; and a spell into your lights coming on. ---- HOW DOES IT WORK? ---- Two ways to cast: - Trace a spell's shape anywhere on your iPhone screen. - Or wear an Apple Watch and cast with a flick of your arm, phone still in your pocket. Eight spell patterns are recognised. Their shapes are drawn out for you in the spellbook. The names are Latin, and every one of them can be renamed. If you'd rather say something else entirely when you summon the light, the spellbook is yours to write in. ---- WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A SPELL LANDS? ---- You decide. Bind any spell to an action, on iPhone or Watch. Cast the light-summoning spell and your bedroom lamp comes on. Cast its opposite and the room goes dark. Give each spell its own sound — your own recording, if you like — and optional haptic feedback so it answers in your hand. ---- WHAT CAN I CONTROL? ---- - HomeKit lights — any room, any scene, any brightness - Accessories — switches, plugs, fans, TVs - iPhone — media playback, torch, brightness, volume - Attunement (Apple Watch) — hold a spell and turn your wrist to slide brightness or colour, continuously - A cinematic reveal on iPhone as the spell lands ---- CAN I FINE-TUNE IT? ---- Everyone casts differently. Adjust onset sensitivity, gesture speed, confidence threshold and cooldown to match your style — precise and deliberate, or fast and snappy. In its place, a field of ink that rests almost still and surges when a spell lands, taking its colour. Touch it and it stirs under your finger. A REAL SPELLBOOK Your spells now live on aged pages you turn, with each movement drawn in ink. It feels more magical, and when you cast a wrong spell - you're also now shown on screen. Also, improvements have been made when the watch is in idle mode (when you rotate the watch just enough, the screen turns dim - sending data to the phone during that state is difficult, but it's been massively improved!). More updates coming soon - which will feature model improvements on spell detection, and more! ### 1.0.8 — 2026-08-13 This build contains connectivity improvements on both wrists, and right wrist improvements. Also improved the UI slightly and added some more interactivity when casting spells. Way more cool stuff coming soon.. enjoy! ### 1.0.7 — 2026-06-08 Duelling mode improvements!
