### 1/5 — This must be a joke

*2026-10-19*

Started off well, spelled 10-15 words and was notified that I ran out of free words to spell and must pay a subscription for more. Would anybody on this earth be able to justify paying money to spell words? UI is not even that complicated, I could just have an AI give me a free spelling bee in perpetuity.

### 5/5 — Awesome spelling App

*2026-06-11*

This is a great tool for anyone who is trying to increase their spelling abilities! If you are going to compete in a spelling bee I highly recommend it!

### 4/5 — Family sharing?

*2026-04-05*

Can we do family sharing on a paid subscription?

**Developer response:** Yeah! Good idea! Just enabled it. Thanks for using Spelling Bee App!

### 2/5 — I mean.. it’s weird

*2026-01-24*

The voice is SOOO robotic. I personally just can’t. If you get a question correctly it makes a weird animation. And also a weird thing. If you play in an iPad the screen shrinks to iPhone size. It just genuinely annoys me but idk

**Developer response:** Thank you for using Spelling Bee. Enhanced and Premium voices can be downloaded for free. Instructions can be found under the list of your current voices in the menu.

### 4/5 — Is the bee AI generated?

*2026-01-04*

Tbh the bee icon looks like it was AI generated

**Developer response:** Thanks for using Spelling Bee App! The bee icon is not, but the more cartoonish bee character that appears in the app is created with the assistance of AI.

### 2/5 — Really bad

*2025-12-30, version 1.17*

I’m sorry but this game or spelling bee app is just really bad the Ai is really annoying

### 1/5 — Only allowed a few practice forces buying

*2025-10-14*

This app is misleading as it forces you to purchase. Don’t waste your time.

**Developer response:** Although the subscription allows for unlimited use, Spelling Bee App can still be used to practice everyday without a subscription. Thank you for trying Spelling Bee App.

### 2/5 — Nice but not really free

*2025-09-05*

I like the format but You only get about 3 words a day. Anything over that you have to get a subscription. Hate that.

### 3/5 — Ok

*2025-08-11*

It’s a very cheaply made app, and the voice they use is just some robot so they don’t pronounce the words correctly, which makes you mess up on spelling them sometimes.

**Developer response:** Hi, Thanks for trying Spelling Bee App. If you search "Live Speech" in your iOS settings and then look under "Voices" you can download enhanced & premium voices for free. Instructions for this are in Spelling Bee App settings under "Pronouncer"

### 1/5 — Yay finally I can practice spelling and have fun!!

*2025-07-11*

This is the worst app I have ever downloaded on my phone or in any device I have ever owned. The voices want me to rip my ears off and seeing that after one mistake or MISCLICK it locks it and asks me for a subscription. What a piece of garbage, lemon lookin bee ahh, spelling bee? Nah spelling fee.

**Developer response:** Hi, Thanks for trying Spelling Bee App.
