Students can pretest their word list, practice with stimulating games, and do a smart practice focusing on just the words that are their weakness. You can use the predetermined list of words or make up your own list. I really like the feature where you can hear the word in a sentence. This will be great for my classroom and the best part it saves time on checking papers. Highly recommended for teachers and parents. I could see this app being used to teach kids and/or adults how to learn English. The word list is displayed and reviewed, then students take a practice test. They can see the words they will need extra practice on...and then they can do a smart practice on these words. The words are practical, useful words to master! My students use these words along with a spelling notebook so they can incorporate technology with the practice of pencil and paper work. They can practice in the car, at home or at school. We tried multiple times and we both would understand different words. I wouldn’t recommend this app if you can’t even understand what they are saying. ### 2/5 — App errors *2019-09-16, version 4.0* The app worked great in the beginning but now it goes crazy and adds letters to words, makes up sentences that go on way past what they should and they don’t make any sense. Then it will also repeat letter without being asked. This app needs some maintenance. ### 2/5 — Not what I was hoping for. *2019-07-16, version 4.0* I thought this app had what I wanted to make spelling individualized and easy but it falls short. I bought the school edition so each of my students could log in and complete lists I’d assign, and then relay that information back to me. However there’s no teacher or master account- the kids have separate accounts but you have to individually assign each test, so for custom tests I’d have to input one or more a week for each of my 20 students. You have to recreate each test for each student. I’m sure it’s fine for some but I’m super disappointed. ### 3/5 — Individualizing words *2014-02-08, version 3.1* My students need to master a 50 word list. I would like to enter the 50 words and be able to push them out to students when the are ready. Right now I am recording spelling lists for 19 kids every week. if i could just tap on the words the student needs, it would be more user friendly. ### 3/5 — It's good but could be better *2013-04-18, version 2.0* The pre-made tests are spoken fairly well but when I typed in my 2nd graders spelling test parts were done in my voice and parts weren't. The part that wasn't mine they miss read retie as ready? It was also very difficult for her to understand with the robotic voice on the ones I put in :(.
