The gameplay is great and keeps my kids wanting to play.
But it effectively costs $0.20 per round since playing a level consumes 1 of your 5 lives whether you clear the level or not.  And then you have to pay $1 to refill lives or wait an absurd amount of time to refill automatically.
That’s worse than old-school arcade games where at least you don’t lose a life if you don’t die on a level

It’s a great concept for a game, such a shame they’ve used a money-grabbing profit model. When you run out of lives, it costs money to refill them, or wait long amounts of time. It was the perfect game for my 6yo to practice his spelling, but he got frustrated and deleted it. Would be so much better with a one-off fee.

The concept is nice and the game seems polished.
I hate the buy new lives concept though which plagues these games. 
I’d much rather have a rogue like version where you have two or three lives (even one on a hard mode) and would just have to start over from the bottom and getting to keep one boost or piece of equipment from the previous run.
If it was something like that I’d gladly pay a reasonable price for the game.

There is one problem I hate and that is that you have limited play,

Why should u be limited to learn? I think that is a stupid idea to put that I understand you need to make a profit but u made this game for kids to learn and now that u put a limit to play I think that was dumb but otherwise it’s good

Nice simple word game with rpg dnd elements. Makes you think fast and keeps your mind sharp (as well as your wand!). I enjoyed it more than Alphabear.

I really like this game. The progression is well-balanced and the idea is fun. My only suggestion for improvement is to adjust the Quest in Level I (or maybe II?) of Endless Dungeon to collect 12,000 coin in one run. Surely this was a mistake as it was quite difficult to achieve.

Super fun concept. Rpg meets words. I love to make different words and see how that defeats the monsters. Absolutely delightful. 
Every time after I watch an ad the screen goes black and I must reload the app. Please fix.

I am enjoying this game so far. The concept is enjoyable and the cartoon style graphics are pleasant. It is a great game for improving your quick anagram skills. The pressure is on to cast spells on those baddies! I love Spellspire!

It’s interesting concept, I was looking for something like bookworm adventures and this sort of fits the bill. However, the limited lives and timers are frustrating and the ads are invasive. It also get very difficult, more than a casual word game should be. If I could just purchase outright, I would, but it’s uninstall and forget about it for me.

If I am enjoying a game, then happy to pay towards it, so I buy the 1.5xGold, I buy access to the basement, I buy something else, then some gold to allow a second chest.
About £10 for a full game is fine.

So I expect to just be able to play with no adds.
After a few levels, realise you also need to pay if you want to play for a while, as every attempt (if you win or lose) uses units, and it costs 99p to refill them.

Also noticed that only 100 levels, was expecting more, and the dictionary does not recognise many of the words I know.

For a game that you cannot just play if you spend £10, a limited dictionary, and you need to spend 99p each time you want to refresh the energy needed to simply play levels.
They are just too greedy.

Honestly wasn’t a bad game until I ran into this tired mechanic. I can’t enjoy the game because it wants me to pay money or wait 24hrs to play again. This isn’t an arcade. This game has ads which play after every other level, so why are there also microtransactions?

This game is the result of a greedy mentality. The game itself has a nice mechanic, however it requires you to wait 30 minutes to get a life, and even if you make a purchase to unlock some of the perks (es. gain more coins per round), you are still stuck waiting to play more. The game asks you to pay $0.99 if you die and you want a quick resurrect, instead of making you just watch an ad for example. I made a purchase thinking I would get infinite lives with it, but nothing. I felt tricked. I am never trying anything that comes out from those developers in the future.

At first I loved this game, but as I have progressed it has nothing to offer. I have amassed and spent over 50,000,000 gold and it’s pointless. I have all of the wands and all of the hats and armors. I am at level 111 in the endless dungeons and nothing changes. No matter how much attack power I add, the tougher enemies still take just as long to defeat, regardless of the wand I’m using and the weaker ones blow over like dust bunnies.
  Like I said, it started out great, but it could offer more.

You used to be able to get extra lives in the treasure boxes and I haven’t received one since the last update. Now I get to play this game even less. These developers are the worst kind of dark pattern-following leeches.

I can’t say enough about this game so much fun while also being challenging! Only thing I don’t like is the inability to play more than five lives at a time without needing to pay.

I used to play years ago and now I finally beat the dragon. Its a fun game to enjoy and learn. If you want to get unlimited lives, just change the date/time 1 day in the future. Then go back in the game, and you will have full lives and a new chest ready.
