### 3/5 — iPhone version is cut off at the top.

*2022-02-18*

Game is great, but the iPhone version is cut off at the top of the screen, stopping the player from seeing some important info. Doesn’t make the game unplayable, but it is distracting and annoying, stopping full enjoyment.

### 4/5 — Fun Rouge / Dungeon Style Game

*2020-09-03*

Positives
1. You get your money’s worth
2. Fun and at times addictive
3. Well thought out & put together for a simple Rouge / Dungeon Style Game

Negatives
1. Need Landscape Mode, especially when you have a lot of cards (swiping left to right to get to a specific card led to too many FAT FINGER mistakes!!)
2. Really poor documentation to get player up to speed; learning curve was unnecessarily too steep
3. Only one save file. Seriously?! You can’t create five (5) separate game files in case I want to switch Classes, etc. How about one save file per class.
4. One “default” mode: I miss the days of at least 5 different levels from Easy to “Nearly Impossible”

Fix the negatives and I will gift the game to my friends. Nice simple game that takes about a few minutes (if you die fast) to a few hours to kill the last Boss Mob. Thanks for the game.

### 3/5 — I guess the update wasn’t a good idea

*2020-04-13*

The game used to be enjoyable til the update came and now I’m getting destroyed within the first couple fights. It’s not that I’m not reading my cards and strategizing as I play but it seems almost as if the game is deliberately not giving me good cards. I can’t use cards that are hitting 1 or 2 and the boss has like 55 hp. It’s just not efficient. If the next update improves the game, the rating will change. It’s a good for sure but I’m just not enjoying what’s happened to it.

And for the people complaining about price, it’s worth it. Just let the dev(s) just tweak a few things it’ll be as good as gold.

### 3/5 — Confusing, but clean

*2020-03-22, version 1.73.2*

The game starts off very intimidating. You’re not given any sort of useful descriptions or direction on how to build a class, and frankly some of the enemies are BS with sub-optimal builds. However, the game is very clean, interesting, and exciting, but not very special to the other options

### 4/5 — Great game

*2020-03-16, version 1.73.2*

Great game super addictive and easy to grasp, I love that I can close it anytime I want and when I open it it will be around the same spot without fail, on my wish is that there was more variety of races, and cards, and also maybe the cards you unlock could be more unique not just cool borders around existing cards but still amazing game none the less

### 2/5 — Amusing until the Big Boss appears

*2020-03-13, version 1.73.2*

This could be a pleasant deck builder but a big boss with three time the player’s hit points that begins battle invulnerable, reduces player’s attacks to pin pricks, discards player’s hand every second round and does massive damage is, to say the very least, poorly designed.
The poor design of the final encounter renders all that came before pure tedium.
The devs missed three important rules that make a game enjoyable, “Balance, balance & balance”

### 3/5 — False Advertising! Not a free game! It’s a demo!

*2020-01-31*

So, to start upfront: the demo leads me to believe that the game is actually well made and quite enjoyable. The pace is great, creativity and themes are all there, with a touch of dnd referencing. Wonderful really.
BUT, and it’s a big one. The App Store says purchases in game, but what it fails to tell you is you will be locked out after 10min of play(or if you sleep your phone or close out the game) and it will tell you to pay a subscription in order to keep playing. Major downside. If it was spend money for more characters/cards etc or 1 upfront cost to own the game, this would be probably a 4.5-5star review. But this is blatant false advertising and it should be taken off the App Store until it is revised to reflect a subscription cost as mandatory, and that your only downloading a demo.

### 4/5 — Fun but rigged.

*2019-11-23, version 1.73.2*

This game... THIS GAME! It’s the most fun deck builder I’ve played in, well, ever. But seriously? The enemy uses a 3 block card and gets 5 block. The enemy has no actions left and plays a hard swing. I don’t like it when a game makes you think you have control but you don’t.

### 5/5 — Nice Card Game

*2019-11-04, version 1.73.2*

I love the variety and different variations of gameplay while also having that RMG in it.

### 2/5 — Really!?

*2019-10-31, version 1.73.2*

One of my favorite mobile games. Since the sale to playond I now require data coverage to play, receive ads and battery usage increased. I buy pay once offline style games for a reason. Ruining one of my favorites, thanks.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I already bought the game but now it wants me to buy again?

*2021-04-20*

I reinstalled and now it’s telling me to buy the game again. That seems like a rip off. So I bought Slay the Spire instead of repurchasing this, and I’m having way more fun.

### 1/5 — Crashes on launch

*2021-02-02*

I guess I shouldn't have updated; the app info claims this supports iOS 9.0 and up, but after updating the app it crashes on launch on my iOS 10 device.

### 1/5 — Good game but locked already-paid-for content

*2021-01-26*

This is a good game but I shouldn’t have to buy it twice.
I paid for it when I initially downloaded it in May, 2019. I enjoyed it, including experimenting with all of the classes. Now I tried to return in January, 2021, only to discover that almost all of the classes are now locked behind an in-app purchase.
I get giving a taste for free and asking to pay to unlock the full game, but those of us who owned the game before the switch should have credit for the in-app purchase. (And yes, the restore button does nothing.)
This would be a five-star game without this issue.

### 1/5 — Broken By Update

*2021-01-20*

I’m not sure what the new update did because it broke my game. Now all content is locked again and I can’t restore my purchases.

### 1/5 — Can’t restore

*2021-01-01*

I just updated the game and it says unlock all but it won’t let me restore nor unlock it and say requires internet connection when I have one nothing happens when I’m the the purchase screen I bought this game near the time it first came out and now idk how to get my stuff back

### 1/5 — One of the best - until latest update

*2020-03-28*

Fantastic card game, quick to play with interesting options and approaches with a lot of replayability both within and across classes and elemental choices. But latest update has turned it into a slog and what was once challenging has become frustrating and discouraging. Used to be a lot of fun to play but no more.
Hopefully next update will be an improvement instead of a regression.

### 1/5 — Plays like a beta build

*2020-02-24*

I really want to like this game, but unfortunately a poorly designed interface and an AI that is rigged to win removes that possibility.
The first problem starts with a bunch of character creation that uses a series of hidden stats that may combine to make unplayable characters. After many attempts at this game I have found that the character choices are very limited and once you find a functioning one there is little to no reason to change.
As for the user interface the enemies slam through there actions with no explanation. Luckily there is a history list during play. Unfortunately when you click on anything it shows up as a small text box under your finger. Yep. My fingers still aren’t see through. Hey when I can get an invisible hand I will.
But my final frustration was a boss that constantly made me discard my whole hand and raised shields. I would have 0-2 cards per turn at max level and maybe do 1 damage. Basically I got locked down in game because that’s called a challenge? Why not just click on the boss and have it start with a “defeated” text?
Honestly if the game moves to a full 2.0 overhaul I’d try it again. I love deck builders, I really do. I’ve beta tested a few too. And that’s why I feel that’s where this is.

### 1/5 — To lose your character completely is stupid

*2019-11-30, version 1.73.2*

Thats all i have to say

### 1/5 — Overpriced Subscription Required

*2019-10-21, version 1.73.2*

You are only allowed to play for 10 mins, then you have to pay for a subscription

### 1/5 — Can’t play unless you pay to subscribe to all their other games you didn’t ask for

*2019-10-07, version 1.73.2*

Can’t play the game for more then 10 minutes unless you subscribe to all their other games... their business model.
“Hey can I buy this one thing?”
“No. But for more money you can have it and a bunch of other stuff you didn’t ask for.”

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this game

*2021-01-04*

Have been playing on and off for almost a year. I absolutely love this game and wish they would have some updates or new classes/races. I’d definitely pay to unlock those.

I got the most usability for my buck out of this game. Highly recommend if you are into these type of card games as it’s the best one out there. (Similar to night of the full moon with more sepia/artsy graphics versus full moon being more modern looking)

### 5/5 — Good buy

*2020-06-13*

This game is tight although i cant get a bard win

### 5/5 — Great game

*2020-04-29, version 1.84*

Gets deeper as you play, lots of classes and cards. Good rouge like for the phone. Looking forward to updates

### 5/5 — Great game

*2020-03-15, version 1.73.2*

This is a fantastic title and what I would call is the dark souls of games, criticism here is your mana should refresh like your actions do, instead of only being limited if you don’t own a mana recharge card -_-

### 5/5 — Great game!!

*2020-03-07, version 1.73.2*

Really enjoy this game! It’s complex and fun to play!!

### 5/5 — Fantastic game!

*2020-03-06, version 1.73.2*

With tons of different combinations and a huge card library, this game has devoured hours!

### 5/5 — Amazing game

*2020-02-26*

It is free. It is really good. More diversity than Slay the Spire but without the animation and more card focused. By the end you want to play again.

And it is free. There are supposedly paid races and classes that I have not ran into yet. I have two full playthroughs with basic races and classes. I think some of the other races and classes are the paid content. Definitely worth giving the devs money and probably will search for a way to do so soon.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2020-02-25, version 1.73.2*

This is a fantastic little game. Satisfies my MTG and Hearthstone desire.

### 5/5 — Fun game

*2020-02-19, version 1.73.2*

In depth fun game that keeps your attention

### 5/5 — Very fun

*2020-02-18, version 1.73.2*

Quick to learn
Fun
Fast
