The app works well, but my biggest frustration is how slow it is! In particular, when I take a picture of a receipt or import a picture from my photos and want to link it to an expense it takes what feels like FOREVER to do the task. Seriously aggravating. It fails while taking photos of receipts. Then you will end up with multiple photos of the same receipts. God forbid you go to your photo library to download receipts because it may grab anything including random vacation pics for no apparent reason. It used to work great and I loved it. Mileage expenses make no sense- how am I supposed to know the exact dollar amount before I enter the route??? ### 1/5 — Horrible camera cropping *2025-10-09* The receipt photos used to be faster and easier. But in a recent update they changed it to where it gets cropped down after taking the photo. I’m sure the intent was to ensure you have ample room on all sides of the receipt when you take a photo to avoid cutting it off - but the current implementation gives zero indication on what the crop will be prior to taking the photo, resulting in multiple attempts needing to be taken to get the whole receipt in the photo. It’s clear that whoever implemented this change has never used the app before. Very frustrating. ### 1/5 — App is broken *2025-10-05, version 253.0* This app needs serious work. When trying to submit pictures and comments for receipts, they don’t load, crash the app, don’t save, etc. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Access Issues *2026-08-17, version 262.0* I am not sure if it’s an issue with my company or this app but twice I could not use it. Once, I could not get in and was blocked and then I got in but could not process any expenses. Sent the issue to my IT team twice. ### 1/5 — Worst Experience Ever *2026-07-24* After almost two decades of using apps, this has to be the worst experience I’ve ever had with one. Login doesn’t work at least 70% of the time, constantly having to bother my administrator. Currently advocating to our executives to cut this completely as it’s extremely disenchanting. I can’t imagine how this company tolerates such poor functionality of their product. I would be flat out embarrassed if I were the developers. Poor reflection on Visa. Or maybe they don’t care, wouldn’t know (can’t ever speak with anyone that can help). ### 1/5 — Worst app you can download *2026-07-01, version 262.0* If I could give it zero stars I would. My boss is breathing down my neck to submit expenses. Receipts will not upload. I’ve reset my phone, closed and restarted the app, tried on WiFi and cell data, so I deleted the app and reinstalled, now I cannot log in because it’s asking for the displayed code in the app on my registered device, how do you make an app this terrible if it’s not on purpose? ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2026-06-28, version 262.0* The app is barely functional but find it hard to see why it requires an updated password every month - way too much security for an app that only codes expenses. Loading of receipt photos and process is laborious and has too many steps. Administrator must reset password every few days. This app really is horrible. We have been trying and trying to get it to work for over a year. Try to let users reset their own passwords and they cant. The two factor authentication email is never received. A run over laptop would be less glitchy. Refuses to link receipts, constantly crashes, logs you out randomly then forgets to offer biometric logins, pre fills descriptions that are both absolutely useless and SLOW to clear/erase. This app sucks on every level. If my employer didn’t force us to use it, you couldn’t pay me to praise this. Even typing this review it’s trying to log me out, I’ve had to hit “continue working” 3 times in 2 minutes. The key is to capturing receipt images as soon as you have the receipt in hand. I like the thumb print login on iPhone as login takes less than 5 seconds. I also like that 100% of my receipt images are captured as long as I am using the app (web version is hit or miss with up to 50% of my images requiring resending), and ease of editing expense coding. So I can sit in an airport and knock out a month of expense reporting in 10-15 minutes or even log expenses while waiting for a haircut. Where this app needs improvement is unlinking a receipt image - can’t do it. So if I have two receipts for $50.95 and the app auto links the wrong one to an expense item then good luck unlinking it. We really need a command in that drop down to unlink an image. Also needs ability to delete unused receipt images. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO LOGIN TO THE WEB VERSION TO DELETE OR UNLINK IMAGES - it is a pain in the butt to get logged into the web/desktop account. If these two items were corrected I would give the app 5 stars. ### 4/5 — Old pics *2018-10-11* I will change this to 5 stars when someone can tell me how to remove the old pictures of receipts that I do not need anymore. I was told they would fall off after 30 days but they are still there. It’s annoying. Uninstalling the app and downloading it again did not get rid of them. **Developer response:** Hello Okccsi, thank you for bringing this to our attention! Receipt images will stay in the Image Library unless they are attached to a transaction. If you want to delete old images from your Image Library, you can delete them by accessing the web platform.
