## What is Spezza?

Dinner's over. Someone grabs the check, everyone opens a calculator, and the
night ends in arithmetic. Spezza ends it differently: scan the receipt, pass
the phone, and everyone's number is settled before the coats go on.

HOW IT WORKS
• Scan the receipt (or pick a photo) - every line item is read on your phone,
  in about a second, entirely offline.
• Every line is shown and editable. If the scan can't read something, Spezza
  flags it honestly - one tap to fix. No silent guessing.
• Pass the phone: everyone taps what they ate. Long-press to share a plate -
  shared items split by fair weights.
• Tax and tip split proportionally, so nobody subsidizes the lobster.
• Settle at the table: round numbers by default (exact cents if you insist),
  a Venmo-ready request for each person, and a PAGATO stamp when they pay up.
• "It's on me" — one tap, and one generous person covers the whole table.
• History keeps every dinner on your phone, with outstanding balances until
  the last stamp lands.

WHAT SPEZZA REFUSES TO DO
• No accounts. No sign-ups - yours or your friends'.
• No subscription. Three free splits, then one small purchase, yours forever.
• No daily limits, no ads, no countdown timers. Splitting a bill is not a
  metered resource.
• No cloud. Receipts are read by Apple's Vision framework on your device and
  never uploaded anywhere. We couldn't see your dinners if we wanted to.

Spezza is Italian - "split" - and the app works like a good dinner: warm,
quick, and honest about the math. Split the meal, not the bank.
