## What is Sphere Ticket Scanner?

Sphere Ticket Scanner is the official validation tool for event staff working at venues that sell tickets through Sphere (sphere.al).

Sign in with credentials issued by your event organizer, then validate tickets at the gate. Every issued ticket is downloaded to a local cache before the event, so check-ins are instant — even when network coverage at the venue is poor or unavailable.

FOR EVENT STAFF, NOT THE PUBLIC
This app is for use by gate operators, ushers, and security staff at events. You need scanner credentials from your event organizer to sign in.

KEY FEATURES

— Offline-first validation. The full ticket manifest is cached on the device; scans don't require an active network connection.

— Sub-50ms scan feedback. The whole screen flashes green for valid, amber for already-used, red for invalid — operators get instant clarity at the gate.

— Real-time cross-scanner sync. When one scanner admits a ticket, every other scanner at the event sees the update within a second so there's no chance of accidental double admission.

— Tamper-proof tickets. Every QR is cryptographically signed; forgeries and tampered codes are rejected before lookup.

— Group admission. Scan a whole family of tickets in sequence and admit them with a single tap.

— Holder identity prompt. The ticket holder's name is shown prominently so operators can ask for ID when faces don't match.

— Fraud detection. Repeated scans of the same QR across short time windows are flagged automatically.

— Conditional access markers. VIP, accessibility, press, and minor flags display as colored chips on the result screen.

PRIVACY
Sphere Ticket Scanner collects no personal data. The operator's authentication token and event manifest are stored in the device Keychain (protected after first unlock, never copied to other devices via backup) and are never shared with any third party.
