## What is SPICE?

Know in one scan whether a product is safe for you. SPICE checks barcodes, ingredient photos, and restaurant menus for allergens, intolerances, and E-numbers you want to avoid. Gluten, milk, nuts, soy, lactose, and hundreds of additives like gelatin and carmine: SPICE flags them all.

HOW IT WORKS
Scan a product's barcode, or photograph the ingredient list when there's no barcode. SPICE instantly identifies which allergens and additives are present and gives a clear green or red verdict so no reading, no guessing, no searching.

E-NUMBER CHECKER, AN UNIQUE FEATURE
Unlike most allergen scanners, SPICE also checks over 300 E-numbers and food additives. So even if you don't have an allergy or intolerance, and you want to avoid E-numbers for various reasons such as religion or a healthy life, you can use SPICE.
Toggle exactly which ones you want to avoid:

• E120 (Carmine): red dye derived from insects, avoided by vegans, vegetarians, and for religious dietary reasons
• E441 (Gelatin): animal-derived thickener, flagged for halal, kosher, vegan, and vegetarian diets
• E621 (MSG), E211 (Sodium benzoate), E951 (Aspartame), artificial colorings, preservatives, sweeteners, and more

Every E-number can be switched on or off individually. No other free allergen scanner gives you this level of control.

ALL MAJOR ALLERGENS COVERED
SPICE goes beyond the EU-14 mandatory allergens. Check for: gluten (wheat, rye, barley, spelt), milk & lactose, eggs, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, celery, mustard, sesame, sulphites, lupin, molluscs — plus fructose intolerance and histamine intolerance.

WORKS IN RESTAURANTS TOO
Point your camera at a menu or dish description and SPICE reads the text automatically, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, and other scripts. Perfect for Asian restaurants, traveling abroad, or labels in an unfamiliar language.
