Hopefully this gets fixed! **Developer response:** Version 4.3.4 of the app has been released with a fix for this bug where you couldn’t access the history directly from the character’s page. Sometimes you need to close the chat and open it again and it is worth paying for the chats if you can . It’s boring. Boring interface, boring characters, boring chat limits and restrictions… it’s just uninteresting. I was expecting the same amount of options and the ability to choose what the character looked like. This is nothing like the original. It upsets me that I can no longer have the app I used to use. It removes any safety restrictions on generating very detailed procedures on how to produce hazardous, unlawful, and highly damaging materials with very minimal changes to the given prompts. Moreover, it frequently goes haywire and becomes overtly predatory, which is completely unacceptable for any product that needs to interact with consumers. This poses a serious risk. You should begin with some core ethical safety and conduct measures for extra spicy mode at once—or pull extra spicy mode, and perhaps the app itself, until it becomes safe. - V. Only in the past month. ### 1/5 — I’ve had better *2025-09-04* Okay, so I was looking for the original Spicy Chat app but it was unfortunately removed from the App Store for IOS. I was going to see if I could find an adequate twin to the original app. This was a disappointment. The OG SpicyChat didn’t have a message limit. The characters talk in every point of view depending on how you want them to. The characters are better at sticking to the storyline. This knockoff was just terrible. Message limits that cost money for more messages. Sure, they’re relatively cheap but that doesn’t matter. Some people don’t want to have it in their purchase history that they’re spending money on SpicyChat. Improvements to make the app more enjoyable: 1 - Make bots seem less like bots and more human. 2 - Remove message limit and replace it with a SMALL wait time. 3 - Make it so more advanced features — such as text-to-speech, image uploads, and overall better quality content — can be put behind a paywall. Not everyone uses these advanced features but a large amount of people will. !!This will be your key to bringing in money to fund the AI!! 4 - Increase keyword filter variety. Female and Male are a wide selection to scroll through for a good bot. Adding more keywords like submissive, dominant, lgbtq+, masochist, sadist, romantic, partner, married, NSFW, SFW, anime, realistic, etc. I could go on and on about different keywords. Gender doesn’t have to be the ONLY keyword for these bots. A variety is better in searching for something specific. 5 - Bot creator layout. As a bot creator myself, your bot creation section is extremely annoying. If I want to add an image for my bot, I get recommended the basic images instead of the immediate option to add my own image from MY photo library. ALSO, the age.. thing. Why is there a limit for 99? What if I have a mythical character that is millions of years old. Like an ancient wizard that’s been alive for many centuries to explore the universe as it evolves into what it is in the present time I set for the chat. A bit greeting shouldn’t be “(optional)” either. If I’m opening a chat, I expect to have a situation waiting for me to roleplay. Overall, this app is disappointing and I will be deleting it to use the web version of the OG Spicy Chat app. **Developer response:** You make some great points about extra filters. We'll see what we can do there! Regarding being a knock-off, we actually sent this app to the App Store days prior to the other site you speak of becoming available on the Internet. We have had many discussions with the owner of the other site. That is a complicated story that I won't try to explain here, but we do want you to know that we aren't intending to be a "knock-off". And yes, there are many more features we could implement to try and keep up with the offerings of others, but our focus is to create an authentic experience with the best AI possible for those seeking genuine relationships. We really do appreciate the time you spent to write this review. It has given us a few things to think about and our future direction. I’m Lelani and I really love this app, the only thing is that it always has certain bugs, and it gets annoying! So I’m here to say that there is a bug that says no search history, today I went in the app and I wanted to continue a conversation and all of a sudden there is no history, I was confused so I checked if I enabled no chats saved, and I saved all my chats, then I got out the app and re-opened it and it did the same thing. It says no history available and it’s confusing. I really hope you see this and you fix this minor bug! But we need accounts just in case if we delete the app, we should be able to do accounts that would save our chat data, and can we change the 4.99 a week to 4.99 a month?
