## What is Spieluhr?

Spieluhr is a felt mobile like the one above a crib: nine animals on fine threads, with a moon, a star, a cloud and a felt ball. Swipe until your animal is in front and tap Play. Its lullaby starts, calm and clear, like a little wind-up music box.

NINE LULLABIES
All songs are in the public domain and newly arranged for the music box:
• Guten Abend, gut’ Nacht (Brahms’ Lullaby)
• Schlaf, Kindlein, schlaf
• Weisst du, wie viel Sternlein stehen
• Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star
• Hush, Little Baby
• Rock-a-bye Baby
• Au clair de la lune
• Frère Jacques
• Fais dodo
Each song plays as a seamless loop, with no pause and no click where it starts over.

MADE FOR THE NIGHT
• Sleep timer with 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or endless. At the end, the music gently fades out over 30 seconds.
• The music keeps playing when the screen is locked.
• Baby lock: while the music plays, the app only stops it after a long press, so little hands can’t switch it off by accident.
• The app turns dark while playing. From 7 pm, it already starts dimmed, so nothing glares in the nursery.
• Control it from the Lock Screen and Control Center.
• Works with VoiceOver and larger text, on iPhone and iPad.

CALM AND HONEST
No ads, no subscription, no account. Spieluhr collects no data and plays without internet too.

ALL ANIMALS
Six animals and their songs are free. Ladybug, fish and bird can be unlocked with a one-time purchase, including Family Sharing. If you bought Spieluhr back when it was a paid app, you get all animals at no extra cost.

Tip: turn on Airplane Mode at night. No call or notification will wake your child, but the music plays on.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 2.0.1 — 2026-10-21

Better accompaniment: in several songs, some accompanying notes did not match the melody. The accompaniment now fits in all nine songs, especially for the lion, leopard, turtle, bunny and bird.

The baby lock is now off by default and can be turned on in the About page.

Thanks to Markus for the tip.

### 2.0 — 2026-10-20

Spieluhr is back, rebuilt from scratch: a felt mobile with nine animals, nine lullabies as seamless music box melodies, a sleep timer with a gentle fade-out, a baby lock and a dark night mode. Now for iPhone and iPad, in English, German and French. If you bought Spieluhr before, you get all animals.

### 1.0 — 2014-03-13
