## What is Spigot Field?

Spigot Field is the companion app for Spigot Utility, modern billing software built for small water utilities.
Designed for field staff who read meters on route, Spigot Field connects readings collected in the field to your utility's billing system.

Features:
- Find customer and supply meters by route or sort nearby meters by distance
- Review meter details and available reading history
- Enter readings manually or use the camera to recognize meter digits while online, then review them before saving
- Save manually entered readings offline after loading meter data online, and sync when a connection is available
- Make synced readings available to authorized office staff in Spigot Utility

Spigot Field is for authorized staff and administrators of small water utilities using Spigot Utility, including mutual water companies, community water systems, and rural water districts. A Spigot ID with Field access is required.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-26

Readings taken in the first days of a month can count toward the previous month when your office turns this on. Clearer messages when a meter's starting dial is already recorded. Very large meter lists load in full, and readings stay safely on this device when the service is briefly unavailable.
