## What is Spikko?

The Spikko cellular virtual phone numbers app is the client for the Spikko solution. 
You must have a paid Spikko account in order to use it.
 
Spikko provides you with additional numbers on your cell phone – local, and in 52 other countries. 
Spikko enables you to receive cellular calls on those numbers, and control your displayed identity by selecting any one of those numbers for outgoing calls. 
Your privacy is protected, and you can select dedicated phone numbers for calls, SMS, etc.
Spikko does not keep your phonebook, makes it public or searchable, or infringe on your privacy in any way.
No need to carry two handsets.  
You can restrict the hours and days that those additional numbers are active.
All additional numbers can be active at the same time according to a pre-defined schedule, as opposed to dual SIMs solutions.


For a small / home office, working with customers around the globe or just looking for increased privacy -  you need the Spikko solution - at home or when roaming*, to make sure you can use the number you need for your purpose.

** NOTE - even if you have a local number from Spikko on your cellphone when roaming, call prices are not tariffed as local calls, due to the surcharge required for the Spikko service entry point location.  You should check fares before placing calls.
** NOTE – you must have a subscription with a local operator or the network will not recognize your handset.

Although the application is free to install from the AppStore, each monthly subscription requires a monthly payment, the prices vary between $9 and $30 depending on the selected location.All transactions occur on the AppStore with your registered account and payment method.


• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal
• Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable

The phone number I pay for every month works only intermittently for the last year. I haven’t been receiving texts for 2 months now. The customer service team is probably the worst I’ve ever dealt with. They literally don’t care about you and fix nothing. I haven’t had a response in 3 weeks. It feels like you’re talking to robots when you do make any sort of contact with them.

I bought Spikko number pacifically for 2 step verification, after installing the app it didn’t work , after backwards and forwards over a week I had enough, I asked for my money back , the company still hasn’t paid me back, beware !

I added the app because I wanted a way for friends overseas to be able to call me without costing them a fortune. I added the app, and that was about it. I tried to register but it says my phone doesn't meet the parameters. Then it does and says it's sending a verification number, which never comes. Then it offers a means to have the number by phone call, it never comes, finally the offer an email tech support, but no one has contacted me.

A little buggy in places especially on the help menus, it's also not the most stylish app ever but it works really well. I cancelled my Skype numbers, Spikko is more reliable and it works without wifi. I'm a big fan.
