Spillproof is a field-ready grocery command center for shoppers who want a cleaner list, faster store flow, smarter price decisions, and fewer surprises at checkout. Build a grocery list with categories, notes, quantity estimates, and prices. Spillproof sorts the list in store-friendly order, keeps checked rows out of the way, and lets you filter by aisle section while shopping. The Budget tab turns the list into an estimated cart total with category spend, missing-price callouts, and a shareable checkout brief. Checkout Guard adds a readiness score that highlights budget risk, unpriced rows, heavy-spend categories, and price-book signals from your own saved price history. Use the Price Book to record what common items usually cost, then compare a current price against your history. Use the Compare tab to find the best package by ounce, gram, fluid ounce, liter, or count. Use Cart Split when a household or group trip needs clean per-person totals. Spillproof also includes a Staples Library for recurring items, a Trip History log for past shopping runs, custom store layouts, CSV export, and a local-first design that keeps shopping data on your device. ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 2.1 — 2026-06-30 Version 2.1 adds Checkout Guard, a pre-register readiness score that reviews budget risk, missing prices, category concentration, and saved price-history signals. No account, no network — your lists and prices stay on your device. ### 1.3 — 2026-06-15 Version 1.3 Staples Library Save the grocery items you buy every week — milk, eggs, bread, olive oil — in a personal Staples Library. Tap the star button on the List tab to open it. Tap any staple to add it to your current list instantly, or tap "Add all" to push every staple onto the list in one shot (items already on your unchecked list are skipped automatically so you don't get duplicates). Each staple stores the same fields as a regular item: name, category, note, price estimate, and quantity. Staples are saved to your device alongside your list — no cloud, no account. Share your checkout brief The Budget tab's Checkout Brief now has a share button next to Copy. Tap it to send your cart summary to Messages, Notes, Mail, or anywhere else on iOS. Export trip history as CSV The Trip History screen now has a share button in the top bar. Tap it to export your full shopping history as a CSV file — date, time, store name, item count, and estimated spend per trip — ready to open in Numbers, Excel, or any spreadsheet app. ### 1.2 — 2026-06-14 Version 1.2 Three new tools for smarter in-store shopping: Unit Price Comparator (Compare tab) Enter the price and size of two to four packages and Spillproof instantly tells you which is cheapest per ounce, gram, fluid ounce, liter, or count. Works across brands, sizes, and stores — offline, no math required. Trip History Every time you clear your checked items, Spillproof quietly logs the trip: date, item count, and estimated spend. See your last 30-day total and lifetime average in Budget → Trip History. Tap any trip to label the store.
