About 80% of the time, it just stops spinning and does nothing. No sound, does not highlight the text. It’s very disappointing when using it with kids. I wish the developers would fix this issue. It was a pretty good app before this problem. Edit: The app developer contacted me after I wrote my review and suggested I change a setting. There’s one weird quirk however - it’s too easy (especially on the watch) to delete the categories you’ve created for a given wheel. I’ve already accidentally deleted categories a few times and there’s no way to get them back (adding a new category ads a blank category). **Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for the feedback. We hosted a party for 12 couples, my wife created a game to play with the whole group. Using this up on the Apple TV was going to be how we choose the players, choose which game, etc. The creation of the wheels worked great. The appearance of the wheels was great. But the PHYSICS of the wheels was awful. Kept landing on the same thing. Not every time, but enough that EVERYONE agreed that this wheel was NOT working. For example, like 2 out of every 3 spins would be the same person (out of 12 options). I was trying to fix the spin length and the rotation duration with the app on my iPhone, but for the life of me after trying to use this app and trying to get it to actually pick randomly, it was embarrassing and we had to just quit using it. Disappointed that everything worked great, EXCEPT the one thing that I thought would’ve been a given with an app like this. **Developer response:** Hey, I’m sorry that you had this experience. Have you tried to use “Elimination Mode”? This setting will make sure that every field is only picked once. Even though the generation of the selected field is completely random, I appreciate your feedback. I might tweak the algorithm in such a way so that fields that were selected once are less likely to be selected. If you have further thoughts, feel free to send me an email. I’ll be happy to answer. ### 2/5 — Weighted Draws? *2024-11-20* “Number of Entries”, “Counting Mode”, for some reason I thought this app could handle weighted draws, but had it behind a paywall. Paid, and found out it couldn’t. Everything looks decent, but weighted draws should be a basic feature for a raffle wheel. **Developer response:** Hi there, weights are now supported in Spin 5.0. Leider kann man nicht mehrere Glücksräder für unterschiedliche Szenarien vorkonfigurieren sondern muss das vorhandene immer wieder ändern. Sonst gäbe es 5 Sterne. Dafür gibt es aber nen Extrastern für den Datenschutz!!! Edit: Nur kurze Zeit später wurde nachgearbeitet und nun sind mehrere Räder möglich. Da gibts natürlich auch den 5. Stern. It's perfect for helping me make a decision! I just had a few suggestions to make me love it even more. I think a slider bar that controls how long the chosen option remains up would be great. It appears and disappears very quickly, I wish it stuck around longer or maybe stayed put until I spun the wheel again. It allows you to name each wheel, choose the colors you want for each label on the wheel, it automatically numbers it for you if you want numbers. You can choose how many options on each wheel, and they don't try to get you with a subscription. Ich bin Gitarr- & Ukulelenlehrer und benutze die App oft im Unterricht. Man kann beliebig viele Felder erzeugen, die Felder mit allen erdenklichen Farben versehen und dann auch noch reinschreiben, was man will: Den Namen der Schüler*innen, einen Notennamen, einen Akkord - was auch immer. Du hast ein Rad „vorbereitet“, brauchst aber ein weiteres? Einfach das alte Rad so wie es ist abspeichern und ein anderes designen und so weiter… Sehr schön auch, dass das Ergebnis jetzt auch im Zentrum des Rades kurz aufblinkt.
