But I can’t gain any blue stars to progress, even if I go back and clear lower levels. Also ads are insane now during gameplay? Why? ### 4/5 — ADS *2026-08-04, version 1.2.8* It’s kinda crazy to have a game with no sound and still force ads and then I paid for the battle pass and still getting spammed heavy with ads. Should be a remove ads with any purchase feature as well ### 2/5 — Forced ads eventually *2026-08-02, version 1.2.8* I prefer to opt into ads for a little boost here or there not a forced app every other level up. Deleted game by the time that happened. RIP. ### 3/5 — Fun until ads forced *2026-07-31, version 1.2.8* Really fun game but once the forced ads kick in you are looking at 5 plus ads per game forced that three clicks to close ### 2/5 — Too Many Ads *2026-07-08, version 1.2.6* The game is fun to play and a simple concept. I understand free games have ads; but this game is ridiculous. I played one level with 10 waves and had the watch 9 ads just to finish the level that were not optional and did not unlock any extra equipment or features. Spent more time on ads than the game. ### 2/5 — This Game WAS Fun… *2026-07-02, version 1.2.6* The most recent update changed everything I loved about this game. The patch notes suggest quality of life improvements and balancing, yet the game got exponentially more difficult, not to mention added constant ads to buy cards and power up’s and such. Please bring back the game we loved. ### 2/5 — Designed to chase away long-time fans *2026-06-29, version 1.2.6* I hadn’t played in a while, but I’d never deleted the game. I decided to pull it up after the most recent update to see what might be new. What was new was that my profile was now worthless. Sure, my pirate main was still level 22, and sure the map still had me at level 93, but it is categorically impossible for me to ever advance further. Leveling up a hero now takes almost a million coins of a new currency that I can earn at the rate of a few dozen at a time. (Let’s not even talk about what the pain is for my lv 24 witch or lv 27 scientist. Plus my lv 29 knight is apparently maxed out, now.) I can’t pass any more levels because the mobs are MUCH stronger even at low waves than ever before. There’s a new hard currency that I have none of (of course), and the previous hard-ish currency that I have 81k of is now essentially worthless. If I don’t delete the profile data and start over I’ll never pass another level or hero upgrade again. The new economy is designed to soak newbies mercilessly until they see what the scam is. The last update that introduced gear was interesting, but I wasn’t given scaled gear at any time to make sure my strength was appropriate. However, the volume of forced ads just to play a single match makes the game unplayable without dumping money into it to remove ads which the simplicity of the game and lack of any real added game play is not worth any monetary value.
