### 5/5 — Darren

*2025-11-28, version 3.9.4*

The spin app is fantastic. It’s so easy to navigate and it is also user friendly.

There are many positives including the link to court bookings, the personal commentary on the match as well as the easy chat function. There are so many chances to play tennis matches (either in the league or friendlies). It’s also very good value and the customer service from Lilu and the team is excellent.

### 5/5 — Loving Spin

*2025-11-28, version 3.9.4*

If you enjoy playing tennis, then you will find Spin fun, competitive, sociable and great for your physical and mental health. It is a really good alternative to joining a local club. I have played two leagues now and looking forward to many more!

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-10-28, version 3.9.4*

Great technology - the future of tennis and meeting new friends is here!!

### 5/5 — Best app for tennis!

*2025-10-23, version 3.9.4*

It’s like a virtual tennis club, making it easy to arrange friendly matches or join a league, whatever your level. They organise fun socials too!

### 5/5 — Nicely designed app, great leagues

*2025-10-14, version 3.9.4*

A great app, so much better than the (rather shonky) competition. Good UI design and the leagues are a great way to get loads of games with people at the same level as you.

### 5/5 — All in One

*2025-09-10, version 3.9.3*

It was my first time joining the gathering for the final, and I immediately felt at ease. It turned out to be a wonderful evening.
I think events like this should be organized at least once a month, even when there aren’t any matches, just a casual meetup where members (and even non-members) can get together, have a drink, meet new people, and share opinions.
What do you think?
In my opinion, it would work really well!

As an additional suggestion, I’d recommend hosting similar gatherings for all major tournament finals, not just this one.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-09-08, version 3.9.3*

I’ve started playing more and more tennis thanks to this app. Very straightforward and to the point.

### 5/5 — Great tennis with great people!

*2025-09-08, version 3.9.3*

Joined this app 3 weeks ago and very happy that I did! I’ve played a few games with lovely people and went to the US Open Men’s Final event which was well organised and attended. Super recommend.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2025-09-07, version 3.9.3*

Great app to meet new players and new friends

### 5/5 — Best way to match up with a tennis partner

*2025-09-07, version 3.9.3*

Great way to meet new people to play tennis and joining the leagues!

### 5/5 — So good!

*2025-09-05, version 3.9.3*

Spin has re-ignited my tennis passion. Struggled with finding tennis partners & courts for years, and now I can play competitive games, anytime, locally, so easily. And you get to meet local people to! So good!

### 5/5 — Great app for tennis players in London

*2025-09-05, version 3.9.3*

Spin is a great app if you’re looking for tennis partners in London. Their league is a good way to get some competition played with flexibility in the way to organize your games. Lilu is always available to help. I strongly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Brilliant app

*2025-08-22, version 3.9.0*

Could not recommend more highly. This has got me back into tennis after years not playing.

### 5/5 — Very engaged team

*2025-08-15, version 3.8.3*

Played a few matches in a league and done some friendly knocks. Great concept and great team. There’s regular engagement from the organisers to ensure players are getting what they want out of the app. I’ve been very impressed.

### 5/5 — Improve your tennis, meet great people

*2025-08-09, version 3.8.3*

For a long time, I was hesitant to join Spin. As someone who’s new to tennis, I never felt I would be good enough to play with strangers and wasting their time. After much encouragement from my tennis coach, I joined, and I haven’t looked back. I’ve connected to the most wonderful and welcoming community of people, I’ve been matched with players at my level, met people from all walks of life who are super interesting, lovely and encouraging. And what’s more, my tennis has been better for it. The access to continuous play has allowed me to improve my tennis ten-fold. So much so that I joined a league and found myself at the top of my division. Join - you will not regret it.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-08-05, version 3.8.3*

Spin has been great and has allowed me to play more tennis! Great app, easy to arrange games and submit scores.

I’d love if there were more leagues outside of London. I’ll be keeping an eye on the growth.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — A lower and upper intermediate level is necessary

*2025-11-17, version 3.9.4*

Honestly lower intermediate and upper intermediate would suit many players skills & level. Hope the team can add these ASAP & update the app.

### 1/5 — Not a great place for women

*2024-09-01, version 3.7.5*

Lots of rules laid out, but nothing in place in terms of safety of meeting strangers in parks or what to do if you are being sent creepy messages. All the women I have spoken to have an unpleasant story to share. Lilu, the chat bot makes things extra unfun.
Don’t think this will be bought by Strava anytime soon.

### 1/5 — Oversell your level because they won’t

*2024-08-18, version 3.7.5*

After going through great lengths to explain how much I played and how good I thought I was, giving examples of matches I won playing against Advanced folks on RacketPal, after speaking with Lilu directly (the CS rep I imagine), I was still placed in a division with people who just got into or back into tennis.
Super frustrating matches where there’s nothing in it for me because I’m playing someone not very good.
Really horrible experience. Wow, just what I spent purposeful time trying to avoid! Will you look at that.
Fool of me for assuming they’d be thorough and I shouldn’t oversell myself. I tried being honest about saying I was probably lower advanced.
Which is why I ended with low intermediates. Yay!
Well, I should have oversold myself, and you should too if you’re any decent.
Thanks for nothing, Spin.

### 1/5 — Only London postcodes?!

*2024-07-30, version 3.7.3*

Won’t add courts unless they’re in a central London post code. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Or course you can still add your preferred courts (?!) but …

### 1/5 — Pointless for 90% of people

*2024-07-07, version 3.7.2*

No coverage outside London not even Birmingham or Bristol! So advertise its London and Outskirts only instead of wasting peoples time or roll out to the UK!

### 1/5 — Avoid at all costs

*2023-05-25, version 3.5.6*

This is the worst app I have used in my life. Do not pay for the leagues, nobody plays and you will lose your money. Most players don’t even respond to your messages. It is operated by a single unprofessional guy and his unprofessional wife. It’s like Afghanistan, no laws or rules. They are snowflakes, they will suspend your account without any reason and do not respond to emails. They suspended my account because I messaged a few players for games and nobody responded and they consider this as strange behaviour. There is a better App, use that one.

### 2/5 — Be careful, a lot of cheaters and aggressive people!

*2025-10-13, version 3.9.4*

Be careful when using Spin. It’s a good app but gives you no protection against cheaters who won’t appear on the court or send you money for the game and block you. There’s also no protection against aggressive attacks on the court so apply your own measures before using Spin as you may end up in a really unpleasant and dangerous situation.

### 3/5 — Makes playing tennis easy

*2024-12-03, version 3.7.7*

Helps you play lots of tennis but good luck with the rankings, utterly bonkers scoring system!

### 4/5 — Great tennis app

*2026-06-06, version 3.9.11*

Great tennis app with its own points system. Leagues are well organised.
My only issue is the initial questionnaire: it fails to distinguish between returning strong players and new players who learned as adults, but have several years of experience. This can result in very wrong initial rating assignments.

### 4/5 — Spin socials

*2025-10-07, version 3.9.4*

The social is a fun app idea. You pair up with those in your social and swap pairs throughout recording scores.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Makes Tennis much more accessible for finding players

*2026-08-06*

Spin has been a reason for me playing regular Tennis because I found players of similar levels and set up practice matches. I really like the easy UI and match setup with just 3 simple steps. Spin has introduced me to many players and really helped improve my game through consistency. The Leagues make Tennis competitive while being fun. Also special thanks to the team of Spin for developing such an amazing app and thanks Lilu, member of the team, for constantly being of help when needed.

### 5/5 — Makes finding tennis partner so much easier

*2026-07-19, version 3.9.11*

I’ve been using Spin pretty much since it launched. It continuously gets better and better. The leagues are great fun and thanks to how they’re managed, players are of comparable skill which results in genuinely competitive matches. I love how you can book courts through the Spin app itself, this makes searching for available courts so much easier. All round, this is a great app for tennis players of all levels.

### 5/5 — The best way to play tennis in London

*2026-07-16, version 3.9.11*

My life has only improved since I started playing in the Spin leagues. Easy to use, great way to meet people and perfect mix of competitive but friendly tennis. I’m starting my third annual pass already.

### 5/5 — Great app for Singles Tennis Matchplay

*2026-06-30, version 3.9.11*

Great app that matches you with tennis players of similar skill level. I wouldn’t have been able to play as much singles matchplay without this app. While LTA has its own local league app, participation on these is very limited compared to Spin.

Customer service (via Whatsapp) is also top notch with quick and, most importantly, helpful responses. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Great app and great format

*2026-06-05, version 3.9.11*

Padel seems to be taking over and was struggling to find people to play tennis with. Spin is perfect to find competitive games as well as friendly games and social events. Have been actively recommending to friends and the app is slick and the whole concept works amazingly

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-04-22, version 3.9.8*

The Spin Team have done a great job creating an easy to use app to help connect tennis players find hitting partners and playing games

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2026-02-27, version 3.9.7*

This is such a great and simple to use app. So easy to book courts and find people in different levels to play with!

### 5/5 — Best Tennis App

*2026-02-26, version 3.9.7*

This App has changed my life, or at least my tennis game! I can now get regular friendly and competitive tennis matches close to where I live. The app works brilliantly and the opportunities it creates are wonderful.

### 5/5 — Perfect tennis companion

*2026-01-06, version 3.9.4*

Great app, great team and great customer service. It’s amazing what a small team can do better than large companies

### 5/5 — Fantastic app for Tennis

*2026-01-06, version 3.9.4*

Joined the app last year and have met local tennis players in my neighbourhood. Everything is very intuitive, with a clean UI/UX!
