I’m totally fine with having extra chests or rerolls have you watch an ad but when you are in the middle of playing and it says “commercial break”. Yeah I’m Just gonna quit and relaunch because it’s faster than watching the ad. ### 2/5 — Blatant Ripoff of “Luck Be A Landlord” *2024-12-18, version 2.23.09* Go play “Luck Be A Landlord,” and you’ll see this is a blatant ripoff with ads and micro-transactions. ### 2/5 — Ads too intrusive *2024-11-20, version 2.23.09* Too many ads for free play, and too buggy to justify the premium. Given it’s basically a pretty RNG with minimal computational overhead that seems hard to justify. EDIT: Seriously, this game is really fun, but it’s burning about 1% of battery per minute, so I’m continually having to charge my phone if I play this. If you can make some headway fixing that aspect of the game I’d almost certainly shell out for both no-ads features. Given it’s basically a pretty RNG with minimal computational overhead that seems hard to justify. ### 2/5 — No restore purchases? *2024-06-19, version 2.16.04* I really enjoyed this game back when I used to play it, and decided to reinstall it after hearing they had added a third hero. Sadly, two things quickly became apparent. First, all my progress is gone and, as far as I can see, the game lacks any kind of account linking to prevent this. Secondly, and far more importantly, having previously paid to remove ads, there is no “Restore Purchases” button; which as far as I’m aware is pretty standard for mobile games when it comes to paying for permanent unlocks etc. So what it boils down to is that if you put ANY money into this game then, for the love of God, don’t ever uninstall it or get a new phone. ### 3/5 — Fun but it’s a blatant rip off *2024-05-31, version 2.16.04* Fun game easy to play, but it’s an obvious and blatant ripoff of Luck be a Landlord on Steam. So much so that they have the exact same token choices. The game is fun but please be more creative than just using the same token choices. ### 3/5 — Fun game *2024-04-02, version 2.15.07* But whoever is in charge of the daily modifier rules is boring and uncreative ### 3/5 — Hard Feelings. *2024-03-30* I would be interested in knowing whether or not this developer has been in contact with the developer of Luck Be A Landlord, and if they were cool with Spincraft’s use of their content. Otherwise, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth- because it appears to be taking advantage of a small developer’s financial inability to take legal action. A big publisher could and would instantly pulverize something for being this derivative of one of their games. That being said, Spincraft was published on mobile before Luck Be A Landlord (which was still in Early Access, so it took some time to come to mobile) and probably won’t be released on PC, so it was not intended to replace it in the market. If the other dev is cool with it, I really don’t have an issue with Spincraft. It does add its own minor features, and the major addition of the original “RPG” slot machine is solid, but takes some time to unlock. As of right now, the monetization is fine. It’s an excellent free to play roguelike with no timers or booster gimmick. Ads are infrequent and short, which makes the pricy ad-free purchase unnecessary for a fun experience. All other monetization, though there is a lot, follows a pay-to-win-faster system that I appreciate. Basically purchases that feel like adding shortcuts on top of a regularly balanced game experience. Unfortunately, at the moment this game is also a huge battery drain, and makes my phone overheat in a chilly room. While that trouble led me to buy and play Luck Be A Landlord, which was a positive, I would still like to play Spincraft and I can’t for that reason. Depending what the problem area is, a battery saving mode could be a great addition. ### 4/5 — Fun but can’t complete quests *2024-01-30, version 2.12.14* The game is a lot of fun and the variety of symbols allow for so many “decks”. My gripe is that the daily quests don’t seem to be counting right, and keeps changing/refreshing. It’s actually quite frustrating since I enjoy these daily quest type things as motivation to keep playing. ### 4/5 — Surprisingly fun. Needs ads permanently disabled option *2024-01-25* I started playing and found myself really into it but the ad breaks are frequent enough that I was willing to pay - the problem is it’s monthly, 10$! That’s way too much. I won’t be paying again as I’ve already blown through most of the content in just a few days. That game maybe my favorite roguelike. This game take every part of that game and fills it with adds, micro transactions and zero love! I’m not sure if it is from the same creators or not but I love how the banana peel destruction doesn’t need a thief (first thing I noticed). Not too pay too win, easy 5 star for a mobile game. P.S. it is way harder to win (get to lv 50). P.P.S.
