## What is SpinCut DJ?

YOUR TRACKS. YOUR MIX.
SpinCut DJ brings two-deck mixing, expressive scratching and creative performance tools to iPhone and iPad. Load your own audio files and build your mix with touch controls or a DDJ-FLX4 controller.

YOUR MAC LIBRARY, AWAY FROM HOME
Sign in with the same SpinCut account to browse tracks and folders from your Mac. Select LOAD to fetch a track over the internet. Once its opening audio is ready, playback can begin while the rest continues downloading. Separate tabs keep your device tracks and Mac library organized.

GO LIVE IN SPINCUT WORLD
Stream your DJ performance to your Personal Room in SpinCut World and share music in a virtual space. Show or hide the live broadcast area in Settings.

MIX WITH CONFIDENCE
Blend two tracks with channel and crossfader controls. Shape your sound with EQ, filters and FX, and add variety with performance pads. Organize device tracks in folders, move tracks and change their order.

EXPLORE VOCALS AND INSTRUMENTALS
Use vocal and instrumental controls to explore new combinations. Stem processing is required before separated audio is available.

SCRATCH YOUR WAY
Scratch directly on the screen, or use the jog wheels of a connected DDJ-FLX4 for hands-on performance.

SEE MORE OF YOUR MUSIC
Switch to the large waveform view to see track structure and playback position clearly as you mix.

DDJ-FLX4 CONTROLLER SUPPORT
Connect a DDJ-FLX4 via USB to control playback, cues, jog wheels, mixer controls and more. DDJ-FLX4 is sold separately. A compatible USB connection and appropriate power supply are required.

Remote library access requires a compatible Mac version of SpinCut DJ, the same account on both devices, your Mac running and awake with sharing enabled, and an internet connection on both devices. Playback start time depends on the connection. Fetched audio uses temporary storage on your device. This feature does not provide a subscription music catalog.

Feature availability may depend on your account and plan.
Use supported audio files you have the necessary rights to use. Ensure you also have the necessary rights for live broadcasting.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.0.1 — 2026-10-07

Fixed an import error for purchased or added songs downloaded in the device Music library. The picker now shows eligible local songs and clarifies supported sources. Apple Music subscription tracks cannot be imported into a DJ deck.

### 3.0 — 2026-10-04

Version 3.0 delivers major improvements to DJ performance, responsiveness, and stability.

• SYNC can now be applied automatically after BPM analysis, even while a Mac track is still loading.
• Improved beat-grid reliability and phase tracking to reduce drift during longer mixes.
• Improved crossfader response and channel-fader volume curves.
• Improved magnified touch controls for TRIM, HIGH, MIDDLE, LOW, and FILTER.
• Smoother library scrolling, preserved scroll position, and clearer now-playing indicators.
• Vocal and instrumental analysis now starts when tracks load, with persistent reuse of completed analysis.
• Simplified FX selection with clearer effect names.
• Improved account, connected-device, and cloud-backup reliability.
• Improved stability when using the DDJ-FLX4 controller.

### 2.3.2 — 2026-09-28

• The portrait mixer button now opens the EQ and channel faders by default.
• Settings are easier to navigate, including the live area control and Auto Mix.
• Unsupported import services are hidden, with guidance for Serato import on Mac.
• The loop selector closes sooner and no longer blocks platter touch.
• An optional update alert appears up to twice per new version.
• Offline help now includes a video and illustrated steps.

### 2.3.1 — 2026-09-26

• Browse tracks on your home Mac from iPhone or iPad using the same account. Playback can start once the opening audio is ready while the rest downloads. Mac folders and compact cover artwork are shown in the library.
• Manage device tracks separately from Mac tracks and keep your last selected tab. Device folders, track moves, and ordering are improved.
• The landscape library gives folders and tracks more room. Waveforms appear as audio arrives, and switching LOAD to another track during a download is improved.
• New iPhone and iPad help guides are available on first launch and in Settings.
• Improved crossfader interaction and aligned the left and right scratch controls.
• Improved DDJ-FLX4 connection, reconnection, and USB audio recovery. Fixed playback running too fast after reconnecting the controller.
• Restored the option to show or hide the live broadcast area in Settings. An active live session continues when the app is backgrounded.
• Read and reply to SpinCut World live comments from the DJ app. Gestures, cue pads, and deck PLAY/STOP animate your World avatar.

### 2.3.0 — 2026-09-26

Added Personal Room DJ LIVE, allowing SpinCut DJ to stream its MASTER audio to SpinCut World in real time.

• Start and stop streaming explicitly from iPhone or iPad
• Link DJ performance audio and live status with your Personal Room
• See connection, reconnection and stop status in the app
• Improved live-stream stability when the audio route changes

A SpinCut account and a published Personal Room are required. Please ensure that you have the necessary rights to the audio you stream.
