## What is SpinTracker?

Every spin class is a playlist you never wrote down.

SpinTracker listens while you ride, identifies the songs playing around you, and connects each one to the effort you actually put in — so you find out which tracks make you push hardest, not just which ones you liked. And if you teach, it keeps your classes too.

TRACK THE RIDE
• Connect any standard Bluetooth heart rate monitor, cadence sensor or power meter. Your strap reconnects on its own when you start a ride, and last time's bike is one tap away.
• Live heart rate, cadence and power while you ride, with effort zones based on your max heart rate or FTP.
• No strap? If your heart rate reaches Apple Health from a source that reads every minute or few rather than every second, SpinTracker builds the ride from it and labels it as reconstructed.
• Nothing at all? A ride still records its full music history and duration.

FIND YOUR POWER SONGS
• Songs playing during your workout are identified automatically as you ride.
• Every track gets its own effort profile: average and peak heart rate, average cadence, and where it fell in your session.
• Over time your library surfaces the songs you consistently ride hardest to.
• Missed a track, or was it an instructor's own mix? Add it by hand.

BUILD THE PLAYLIST
• Turn any ride's tracklist into an Apple Music playlist in one tap.
• Pick the whole ride or just the songs that earned it.

SHARE IT PROPERLY
• Workout cards sized for Instagram Stories, square feed posts and more.
• Card styles from clean to Cyberpunk and Shonen; choose which stats appear.
• Start from a template, or save your own.
• Turn a ride into a short film with the Anime Replay.
• Add a photo from your library.

STUDIOS, INSTRUCTORS AND CLASSES
• Tag the studio, the instructor and the class on any ride. Allow location and nearby studios are suggested.
• History shows each ride's class, instructor and studio.
• Co-taught? Credit up to four instructors on one class.

FOR INSTRUCTORS
• Turn on the Instructor profile and the classes you teach are kept apart from the rides you take, in History, your song library and your recaps.
• Name a class once and SpinTracker remembers it for that studio.
• Attach the Apple Music playlist you taught to, then check what actually played against it and fix the tracklist.
• Your booking link shows as a Book button on every class you share.

SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE
• Weekly and monthly recaps of rides, minutes and songs discovered.
• Streaks and milestones for showing up consistently.
• On-device AI writes a short summary of each session and picks out what stood out (needs iOS 26 on iPhone 15 Pro or later).
• Sync completed rides to Apple Health.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
No account and no analytics. Your rides, your music history and your profile live on your iPhone; only a setlist you choose to share is kept on our server, for up to 30 days. We do not track you and we do not sell your data. Songs are identified using Apple's music recognition service, which receives a short acoustic signature, never a recording.

TRY IT FIRST
Your first 5 rides are free, with every feature unlocked. No account, no card, no trial countdown — ride five times and decide.

SpinTracker Pro
• Monthly and annual subscriptions available
• Unlocks unlimited rides and keeps every feature
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple Account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-10-02

If you teach, your classes are yours

Settings has a new Instructor screen. Turn on "I'm a spin instructor" and the classes you taught are kept apart from the rides you took: History and your song library each gain a switch between the two, and your weekly and monthly recaps say what you taught as well as what you rode. A class you teach is credited to you as its author, so it stops describing your own effort the way a ride you took does.

Name a class and SpinTracker learns it for that studio, so the next time you teach it the name is a tap away. A named class can carry the set playlist you taught it to. Your booking link, set once on your instructor profile, shows as a Book button on every class you share. A class taught by more than one instructor can carry them all, up to four, and your share caption credits each one.

If you taught a class to a playlist, you can check what was actually played against it, and fix the tracklist from what you find.

Your rides save to Apple Health on their own

Once Health is connected, saving is on — you no longer have to find a second switch to turn it on yourself. If you had already turned that switch off, it stays off, and it is still in Session Settings. If your Apple Watch recorded the class too, SpinTracker adds its readings to that workout instead of saving a second one, so one class stays one workout.

Your bike and your strap have their own cards

Each is chosen, changed and disconnected on its own, and your bike is chosen when you start a ride. A bike that also sends heart rate is no longer taken for your strap's place: it is offered separately, under its own heading, for the riders whose strap talks only to the bike's console. Your bike is let go at the end of class rather than staying connected to your phone.

Two new card styles: Cyberpunk and Shonen

Pick them wherever you choose a card's style. Cyberpunk is neon on a night ground in monospaced type; Shonen is a manga page in black ink with a red accent. A Ride Replay is drawn in the style you pick, too.

Send us feedback from the app

Write to us from inside the app. The email includes a short usage summary with no song names, places or heart-rate figures. It's shown in the email, so you can delete any of it before you send.

Watch your ride as a film

A new Anime Replay turns your ride into a short film: a road that climbs on the songs you worked hardest to, with an arch over each highlight and the biggest over your power song. Watch it in 3D or as a 2D side-scroll. Pick Cyberpunk or Shonen, the time of day, and a man or woman rider in your skin tone and jersey, with hair colour for the woman. It lands on your Timeline card. 3D needs iOS 26 or later; the side-scroll plays on iOS 18 too.

Shared setlist links are now short

Shared setlist links are now short. A short link works for up to 30 days after you share it; if one can't be made, SpinTracker shares the longer link instead, which keeps working.

Templates and tags

Start a share card from one of five templates (Ride Story, Power Song, Setlist, Stats and Class Poster), adjust it, and save your own. Tag a ride's studio, instructor and class right from its share screen, and History shows those tags on each ride, so one class is easy to tell from another.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-09-15

Heart rate from sources that read now and then

If your heart rate reaches Apple Health from something that reads every
minute or few minutes rather than every second, SpinTracker now uses it to
fill in the ride. Before this, a ride like that either had no heart rate at
all or counted about a tenth of the class in your effort zones.

The ride tells you when its heart rate came that way. A value held between
periodic readings cannot see a short sprint, so time in your hardest zones is
understated, and the ride says so rather than quietly claiming the number.

Rides you already recorded this way are repaired the next time you open them.
One number goes away in the repair: on a ride where every reading was carried
this way, the peak heart rate is now blank, because that peak was a periodic
reading and never a measured one.

Your Ride Replay comes with its caption

A Ride Replay is a video, so nothing in it can be tapped. Save one to Photos,
or send it from the share sheet, and the ride's caption is now on your
clipboard ready to paste beside it. If your ride has songs and you have not
switched Music off, the caption ends on your setlist link, so whoever sees the
  video can open them.

Your share card's switches do what they say

Switching Music off keeps your song titles off the card and your setlist link
out of the caption. It now holds your playlist link back as well. A playlist
page lists the songs, so sending its link published the very thing you had
  asked to keep back.

Unticking Heart Rate now works everywhere. On three of the five card layouts
your bpm went out whatever that switch said.

Shared rides open in SpinTracker

Tap a ride someone shared with you and it opens here rather than in the
browser. You get their tracklist, and an offer to save the instructor and
studio with the handles they spelled themselves, so the next card you share
  tags the right people.

Your song goes with your Story

Sending a card, a sticker or a Replay to Instagram Stories now puts a song
from your ride on your clipboard, ready to paste into the music sticker. Each
button says so before you tap it, because tapping hands you to Instagram.

The guided tour fits smaller iPhones

On an iPhone SE the tour's Skip button sat under the status bar and its Next
button ran off the bottom, so the tour could not be finished. It fits now.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-10

Works on more iPhones

SpinTracker now runs on iOS 18 and later, instead of asking for the newest
iOS. That covers the iPhone XR and XS, the SE from 2020 on, and everything
newer.

On a smaller iPhone, the live ride now keeps the first song of your history
on screen while you ride instead of pushing it out of sight.

Calories in Apple Health are honest now. A ride recorded with a power meter
was reporting roughly a quarter of what it should, so expect that number to
jump.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-07

Sensor connections you can actually see

Tapping a sensor that has wandered off now tells you so instead of sitting
there silently. Connecting shows a spinner, a failed attempt says it failed,
and each device in the list shows its own state rather than every row lighting
up at once. A sensor that drops away and comes back reconnects on its own, and
the sensor list says so while it happens.

You can also forget a paired device without connecting to it first, which was
impossible in exactly the situation that made you want to.

New

• Apple Health heart rate fills in a ride that recorded none, so a class you
rode with your Watch instead of a strap still gets its effort and per-song
  numbers.
• Your monthly recap now arrives on its own instead of waiting to be found.

Fixed

• A power meter that stops reporting mid-ride no longer holds its last number
for the rest of the class, so a ride can't record a sprint wattage while your
  cadence reads zero.
• Sharing a ride with no songs now links to the App Store rather than the
  support page.
• Share cards no longer name a "power song" on a ride with no effort data.
Your card still shows a track and its artwork; it just doesn't claim you
worked hardest to it when nothing was measured.
• The selfie corner you pick is the corner you get.
• The Effort Zones switch no longer stays on when the card has no room to draw
  the zone bar.
• Duotone now explains itself when it can't be used, instead of quietly doing
  nothing.
• Ride Replay honours your Album Art style, and names your power song the same
  way the card does.
• Album art colours settle correctly when you switch between rides.
• Saved cards in a format this version can't read are kept rather than
  discarded.
• Clearer explanation of what a missing age affects, shown where it matters.
• VoiceOver now says what each close button closes.
