### 1/5 — App is total garbage

*2021-02-17*

It’s like a child designed this app and it’s interface w other apps (ie your choice of a fitness tracker). along w the intended piece of exercise equipment. Sad.

Update needed, but from what I can tell w the other ratings- won’t happen

### 1/5 — Disappointing App

*2021-01-12, version 2.53*

I’m happy with my Spirit Fitness equipment but this app is disappointing to say the least. Very little content and cross comparability with other fitness apps (even though the developer claims there is!). I really hope Dyaco / Spirit Fitness releases an updated better app soon. This one sucks.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2021-01-06, version 2.53*

If you minimize the app it loses Bluetooth connection. So you can’t use your phone while riding your bike. The developer added a portal where you can reach certain apps without minimizing this one, but it works 1 times out of 10. Frustrating getting done a ride and you realize your data didn’t log!

### 1/5 — App is glitchy

*2020-11-26, version 2.53*

Poor functionality. Freezes up. I gave up after 20 min trying to set things up. Removed it.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work and company has no idea

*2020-11-13*

This is a horrible experience.I just bought a commercial treadmill for over $3500 and this app does not work. It doesn’t work on my iPhone and it doesn’t work on the iPad. I called the company and they don’t have anyone there who knows how it works or how it’s supposed to work. There’s no instructions anywhere in the manual and none of the reps know how to make the app functional. This whole thing is a joke

### 1/5 — Not pairing with my CT900

*2020-07-31*

After selecting my treadmill using a GEM RETRO device connected to the CSAFE port it just times out.

### 1/5 — :(

*2020-07-07, version 2.48*

The app shuts down when trying to login. Can’t even open it.

### 1/5 — 2.47.11

*2020-06-14, version 2.47*

Data transfer to Fitbit is broken with this release, worked with last version. Please fix.

### 1/5 — The app is trash

*2020-02-26*

For a company that charges over $2000 for a machine, one would think they would have a working app. That’s all you can ask for. This app is worse than trash. Does not do anything. Won’t find my machine nor let me input just basic profile information. They must hide behind covers. What a shame.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2020-01-30*

It is not possible to set up.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work!

*2020-01-16, version 2.42.1*

Won’t connect any longer. I have deleted the app and redownloaded but it disconnects within seconds. What a waste!

### 1/5 — Used on XBR55

*2019-12-29*

Very weak app with even weaker instructions. Says it will upload workouts to iHealth. Will not connect. Accidentally hit the i button. Went to messages and will not close. Strikes me that a pointy haired manager said we need an app but was not willing to support proper development and testing.

### 1/5 — Would not even take info

*2019-11-06*

iOS Ap would not even take Name and when it went to Gender it asked to put in weight. Then when I put in info it would not move on then had lb in for gender. So basically would not let me move on. I work in IT and program many different languages with significant error proofing, so I wonder if their developers have even tried the Ap???

Sorry this is bad.

### 1/5 — Missing key features

*2019-07-09*

Excellent display and graphics! However, once the app is connected, we can only control the treadmill using the app. I don’t know about other folks, but those are some tiny, little buttons on my cell phone. It defeats the excellent feature of having quick speed/incline buttons on the handrails. Best option would be to have both treadmill and app control any and all features on the treadmill.

Really the only reason to use the app other than an excellent display of information, would be to track workouts. It would be nice to have an option to upload the workout data after a workout is complete.

Key features on the treadmill are not available on the app. For example, at the beginning of a program (like fat burn)we can set the max speed and incline to increase the intensity profile of the workout. Those options are not available on the app. If you are using the app, you simply lose that feature.

Maybe it’s worth making apps specific to machines (treadmills, bikes, elliptical, etc.) rather than making one app fit all, but none very well. My $0.02.

### 1/5 — It owns your phone

*2025-06-09*

Once you open the app on your phone and connected to your elliptical, it will not let you do anything with it without First shutting off everything on the phone. I have tried to close the app, and it will not let me. It works good enough, but if I cannot take a phone call or do anything else with the phone while I’m on it then I can’t use it.

### 1/5 — No longer connects to my Xs885 Stepper

*2023-12-01*

No longer connects to my XS895 Incline Stepper

### 1/5 — The worst app

*2022-12-21*

Honestly I have no idea what this app is for. You can’t edit anything, only control the treadmill while on the treadmill?…it’s the worst fitness app I have ever seen

### 1/5 — Not Spirit +

*2022-11-22*

So I downloaded this to connect the treadmill to Apple Health. Absolutely useless. Clicked on the developer name and found other apps not listed in the App Store. Found Spirit + and was able to connect to Apple Health.

### 1/5 — Bare minimum function

*2022-07-09*

I’ve had my Spirit Elliptical for over two years. The app is really only the bare minimum of functionality. It connects, sets up the program you wish to use. That is it. I’m ok with this, since I haven’t had other issues. But, I would be so much happier if it would connect to other health apps.

The Spirit website states that this app will communicate with both Fitbit and MyFitnessPal-apps I’ve used since 2012. I cannot find a way to connect these apps from any direction.

### 1/5 — Poorly Executed Afterthought

*2022-02-03*

Probably the worst fitness app I’ve used and can’t get it to share with HealthKit. Very little value when I have to wear another device to get my workout into Health. Doesn’t support split screen on iPad so have to flip between apps during workout rather than having them side by side. App looks and feels like it was built 10 years ago. Very poor user experience.

### 1/5 — Pathetic

*2021-12-11*

If this is your MVP it should have never been released to customers. It is buggy and the functionality is weak. Get it together. Do any of you actually use your app with a treadmill?!

### 1/5 — Brand new xt285

*2021-09-23, version 2.56*

Literally just had treadmill installed today downloaded app and won’t even find equipment! Garbage app

### 1/5 — ZERO STARS!!!

*2021-05-23*

The app does not work! Why put this crap on the app store? It cannot even find my bike to connect bluetooth, but it can find two tv’s, and a blood pressure monitor😂

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2021-03-15*

I just purchased a new XT385 ans this app will not connect to Strava, Garmin, or Apple Health. I tried to reach out to Spirit Fitness, and they have not responded to my issue.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 3/5 — Simple improvements needed

*2022-03-03*

The app connects to the exercise machine well, and gives you an easier way to select training programs, but there are simple improvements that would make it a much better app. As it is, the app is disappointing.
The app collects training stats, but the way it displays them is terrible. You could use that data in much better ways. I’d like to be able to easily see how my training is trending, with simple graphs instead of endless tables. Did I do better this week or last? How is my average speed, calorie burn, or wattage trending?
A lot of workouts are repetitive. You could use that. E.g. during my workout, how am I trending compared to the last time I did the same time, distance, or program? If I could see how this current workout compares to my last and my personal best, it would help motivation.
You could make a lot more out of this app with the data you already have.

### 3/5 — Has potential

*2021-05-08, version 2.53*

I would like to have the option to add other apps like Hulu, Spotify, Pocket Casts to the app drawer. The app has also crashed on me which was annoying. Hopefully this can be ironed out in the future. Thanks

### 2/5 — Nice Dashboard - Zéro Intégration - Stupid Date format and Miles???

*2023-12-24, version 2.58*

What a pity,
After 40 years, Ontario corporation, not able to develop a website supporting Canada Official Languages - English and Speak White only.
French ? What ? French ? WHat’s that.
Dashboard, set-up in Miles ??? What the hell is Mile ? No idea, MPH?
We are using Metric system for over 50 years, They did not loaned this yet?
Date format in US STUPID format… What the hell is Month 31? NO IDEA…
ISO 8601 Standard aims INTERNATIONAL date and System Unit and not the Idiotic USA dumb measure and Date format. 95% worldwide population use DD-MM-YYYY, Km/h, hours 23:59:50 but People From Toronto and USA are not there yet, may she in 200 years…

Integration with Apple Health… HOW?
No connection with Calendar, even if Connected to Bluetooth.
This Spirit FIT is only adding Dashboard and control to select training set-up from iPad, nothing more.

By the way, not sure if intent is to MARKETING say - COmpatible with Apple Health, but need to SEARCH little characters (crap) you must use another application to connect with Apple Health and it cost $$$$. This is .disgusting marketing practice as usual. Not even able to set-up the Threadmill in km/h and date YYYY-MM-dd and. TOO COMPLEXT for DUMBS Ontario and USA idiots.

USELESS.

Use your Apple Watch, Fit Bit, Google watch, and do not pay the extra for the « Integration » $$$$ Additional FEES Features, offer from the SPIRIT Draco Inc,
Not honest enough to SAY BLACK and WHITE in WHITE LANGUAGE:
- FULLY SUPPORT APPLE Health, WITH $$$$$$ Additional $ub$cription. IN ADDITION to the Thread Mill COST…
- We provide International Measure UNITS, ON APPLICATION ONLY… NOt on Threadmill.

And

Bluetooth Integration: Must Use a 3.5 MILIMETERS Jack cable to Connect my IPhone (oups no jack), iPAD Pro 2022 OUPS no JACK, and Use the « DECORATIVE » Speakers on the Threadmill.

You are either, LAIZY corporation,
DUMBS. Analphabètes
Or
Simply do not care about your customers…

It’s Pityfull…

Sorry for my POOR WHITE Language …as My Mothertongiue is FRENCH
Which in case you ARE NOT AWARE is ONE OF THE 2 CANADA OFFICIAL LANGUAGE.
And
For you to REMEMBER: CANADA ADOPTED METRIC SYSTEM km/h ONLY VERY RECENTLY, in 1978…
But it seems your are incapable to READ the regulations, and get up to speed with CANADA regulations…

And By The way, All your Data Privacy, text is in French, however you are to idiots to translate the Accepter in french…

You should be ASHAME.

### 2/5 — Invest in the app

*2021-01-24*

Great treadmill!! Terrible app. It’s generally better than it was 3 years ago though.

Biggest gripes
1) Connectivity: But it’s still flaky when attaching to the treadmill via Bluetooth. It seems to learn and make fewer errors over time.

2) Sharing: there is no share icon on the calendar as they have on the screenshot in the App Store. I can’t sync this data to anything.

3) needs a portrait mode view. It’s always in landscape view.

4) some of the charts go backwards. The beginning is at the right of the chart and you scroll left to get to the end. Odd.

Good things:
1) the metrics match what the treadmill shows.
 2) The graphics are acceptable when using the app and running. This isn’t a difficult thing to accomplish though. Right?

### 2/5 — Programs

*2020-07-20*

The User1 and User2 programs won’t work from the app. I can enter the other programs without a problem. The app does need a lot of work, but I would be satisfied if I could just use the User 1 and 2 programs.

### 2/5 — Won’t connect to MapMyFitness

*2019-12-04, version 2.42.1*

So far the app seems to work ok. Connects to the treadmill quickly. But when I try to export to my workout to MapMyFitness or MapMyRun it doesn’t provide those apps as options and I can find no way to connect them

### 2/5 — Disconnect

*2018-12-03, version 2.24.1*

Will not stay connected to my phone since update. Initially connects, I can enter settings etc. I then hit start in app and the screen freezes. I then hit start on the treadmill and after the warm up, the phone says disconnected. Please correct this issue!

### 2/5 — Your app needs huge improvement

*2018-11-05, version 2.23.1*

Does not share with other apps even though says it does. Does not save user profile even though says it’s saved. One of the reasons I bought this elliptical was because I could export my workout info to Fitbit, what a joke. I am not happy.

### 2/5 — Uh 😯 what?

*2018-07-21, version 2.15.1*

So I speak da English okee?
So why won’t it stay in English?
Very frustrating!
So essentially it’s the same as the treadmill, but you can store the history. That’s the only difference, which is a good feature. I use a different app that won’t track treadmill runs, so at least I’ll be able to use this. Kind of thought if ya spend over $1,500 on a treadmill, you should at least get a bit more techie data??
With all the trinkets and gadgets out there, this is like comparing high school to kindergarten, no offense to either grade👀.

### 2/5 — XS85

*2018-04-25, version 2.13.1*

I thought the app would preform much better than it does; especially due to the price of the cardio machine. The information does not record accurately from the machine to the app profile.
Is there plans to update this error in the app soon? I’d like to track my progress
