## What is Spirogears?

Spirogears brings the classic spirograph toy to your iPhone — with the satisfying feel of drawing by hand, and the precision of a digital tool.

Choose your gear sizes, pick a color, and drag your finger around the ring to draw. Watch the pattern emerge stroke by stroke, or switch to Animate mode and let the app draw for you. Add layers in different colors to build up complex, beautiful designs.

How it works:
   • Set the inner ring size, wheel size, and pen hole to configure your gear.
   • Start at any starting notch around the ring.
   • Draw all the loops or...
   • Draw only some of the loops and start the next layer where the last one left off.
   • Draw manually by dragging, or animate at your own speed.
   • Add as many layers as you like, each with its own color and weight.
   • Hide the gears to see your finished artwork.
   • Save drawings and come back to them later.
   • Share your creations as images.

Spirogears 1.5 Bug Fixes & Improvements

Bug Fixes
1. The Settings sheet no longer interrupts a drawing that's in progress or hides the gears of a new drawing.
2. Removed the haptic setting entirely for iPad, since iPads don't have haptics.
3. The keyboard dismiss button was disappearing when configuring a layer and changing focus among fields; it stays visible now.
4. The first trial drawing failed to confirm when the clear button was pressed and could clear the drawing even if the clear was canceled under some circumstances. Now it only clears if the user confirms that they want to clear it.
5. The Add layer button is now shown as disabled when a drawing is cleared and the New Drawing button has not yet been selected.

Improvements
1. Added a message for unsubscribed users: "n of 3 free drawings left" under the New button.
2. Limited the size of the inner ring notches on all devices to 461 (as large as it can go on the smallest device) to make it consistent across devices.
3. Improved haptics. Realistic one-haptic-per-notch on slower manual drags; increasing to vibrations on faster manual drags. 
4. Included all Pro features buttons in Edit Layers even for unsubscribed users, with a message that these are pro features when they explore and try to use them.
5. Stopped showing gears automatically in several places if the user has explicitly turned them off.
6. Scaled all icons for the iPad to make them larger.
7. When rotating left, moved the button panel to the left-hand side for better ergonomics for left-handed users.
