I’ve already discovered multiple podcasts that I genuinely enjoy because of Spkr. and wouldn't have found them if not for this app. So happy. So useful. Most of the time it glitches out and plays 3 or 4 audio tracks over one another, it's absurd ### 1/5 — Great if you love left wing news and content *2020-03-03, version 1.2* Opened the app while making coffee this morning and 3 out of first three stories were left leaning news and Seth Meyers bashing Trump. Didn’t get this app for slanted news stories (one way or the other) deleted. ### 2/5 — Beautiful but Confusing *2019-11-08, version 1.0* How does one subscribe to a podcast on this app? What does subscribing do? Can you speed up playback? Does it look at your podcast app to get a start? Does it use your subscriptions to select recommendations? You don’t know. This is like one of those adventure games where your plopped into a universe with no map. Deleted. I’ll come back when/if it ever makes sense. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t have a very big library... *2019-11-07, version 1.0* Couldn’t find a lot of the podcasts that I like to listen to. Also, the app feels unfinished. For example, i went to the page of one of my podcasts that this app actually does have and the most recent episodes they had were from september... maybe add a way to import OPML and fix up your app a bit. I like the design of this app, but I will not be using it as my daily driver the way it is now. :( ### 3/5 — Potential *2021-03-04, version 1.4.2* I think this app has a lot of potential, however there is either a problem with the search feature or the directory, search results for podcasts will be 0 sometimes, and I can’t import from apple podcasts. ### 4/5 — Nice with some flaws *2019-11-08, version 1.0* A good app for podcast discovery. There are some bugs/flaws. If I listen to a podcast segment and want the episode, it starts over from the beginning. It should continue from the point when I switch. Then, to go to the full episode, I have to slide up from the bottom of the app, but if I slide up from a bit lower, the gesture invokes app closure and the home screen. Finally, the whole idea of swiping up to select the full episode means I can’t have it play the podcasts passively , I have to actively manage the process. Would be better if the app played the whole episodes because it’s easier to skip than go to the app each time to select the full episode. And please let me switch off the Spkr’s introductions ### 5/5 — Such a great app!! *2020-04-19, version 1.2.1* If you’re a fan of podcasts or even quick little news snippets this is the app for you! You can get a 3 min sample, then if you like it you can also get the entire episode. Interface is super smooth too!! This app allows me to also skim curated playlists by topic/category... podcast playlists. I have been exposed to new podcasts and content in different genres and especially enjoy getting the latest news on the current political landscape. I love the movie reviews, comedy, education programs. Today I was able to listen to the interview with Jeff Lyn of ELO on CBS Sunday Morning that I had missed.
