## What is Splash Rides?

Splash Rides is the easiest way to rent a boat — anywhere, any size, any budget.

Browse hundreds of boats from local owners: yachts, sailboats, pontoons, speedboats, fishing boats, and more. Book by the hour. Pick the date, set the guest count, choose whether you need a captain, and you're on the water.

SAFE, TRANSPARENT, SECURE

- Verified boat owners and captains (we check IDs, licenses, and insurance)
- Refundable security deposits on select boats — held, never charged unless damage is filed and approved
- In-app messaging with phone, email, and social media sharing blocked for your protection
- Report inappropriate messages or block users directly from chat — our trust & safety team reviews reports within 24 hours
- Account deletion available at any time from your profile

HOW PAYMENTS WORK

When you book, your card is authorized but only charged 24 hours before the trip. If you cancel under a free-cancellation window, nothing is charged. We use Stripe for payments — we never store your full card number. Refunds are processed automatically within a few business days.

If a captain cancels for weather, mechanical issues, or any other reason, you get a full refund automatically.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

Each boat picks one of three policies, shown clearly at checkout:
- Flexible — full refund up to 24 hours before
- Moderate — full refund 5+ days before, 50% within 2–5 days
- Strict — 50% refund up to 7 days before, none within 7 days


LANGUAGES & CURRENCY

The app speaks English and Spanish, switching automatically to your iPhone's language. Prices show in your local currency where supported (EUR in Europe, USD in the Americas, GBP in the UK).


Splash Rides is operated by Splash Rides Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are accessible inside the app under Profile → Legal.
