Every attempted backup caused more loss data. Technical Support was not helpful and by the end all the data was lost and couldn’t be restored. ### 2/5 — Atrophy *2025-04-21, version 8.4.4* I’ve been using this app for almost 10 years. And bit by bit every version of it is not working. Their windows desktop app doesn’t open consistently. I’ve contacted support since 2023 and never gotten an answer about this. their iOS app is not keeping up with other password managers with any kind of integration into iOS Safari or auto fill features. like I said their support doesn’t even seem to answer my email questions anymore. They’re just taking my yearly subscription fee now and not even offering me any support. so unfortunately, I have to look elsewhere for my next password manager, which after so many years is a little heartbreaking and frustrating. ### 4/5 — I Still Like The App *2025-02-09, version 8.4.3* Use it regularly. Occationally there has been some data loss, which is annoying. Recently migrated to Pro9 and 38 records did not transfer over. Total PITA to find all 38 and manually enter into the new version. Have continued to use it, but shopping around for a new PW keeper. ### 1/5 — Total Disaster. *2024-09-16, version 8.4.2* I’ve been using splashID for years. With an update 6 months ago I lost all my data. It is now encrypted, garbled, jumbled characters on the screen and there is nothing me or tech support can do to recover it. If you one day wish to lose all your sensitive data, use this app. ### 2/5 — Very frustrating *2024-09-09, version 8.4.2* If you have a typo in your email or some other error when first setting up on a new device the only way to fix it is to completely delete the app and reinstall. But today I discovered that’s it doesn’t work offline anymore. There is no cancel function in the app or online and customer support simply tells me it’s apple’s problem but apple says I am not subscribing to the service through the app store. Use 1Password instead. Now I know I should have stop using splash ID years ago. Only think they care is monthly subscription. Ehemals ein Vorreiter unter den Passwortmanagern, hechelt das Programm heute den Standards mit sich zunehmend vergrößerndem Abstand hinterher, leider. Nachdem zum x-ten Mal Label völlig irrational über- und umgeschrieben wurden, so dass aus logischen Zuordnungen Benennungen wie „Feld 1“, „Feld 2“, aus Serien- Telefonnummern, hier ein paar Nullen weggefallen und woanders angefügt, der Support wird immer schlechter, aber die Abo-Preise immer höher werden, ist es für mich nun genug. Um in einem, vor sehr langer Zeit sauber angelegten, Datensatz dann irgendwie herauszufinden, welche denn jetzt die Telefon-, Super-, Online- oder welche auch immer PIN bzw. Nummer ist, fehlen mir Zeit und Lust. Schade. ### 1/5 — Do NOT Buy ! Poor Quality Product and Poor Customer Service *2024-06-06, version 8.4.2* 1. Product has severe bugs such as changing your e-mail in offline mode permanently blocks access to your data with no ability to recover. There are no warning messages and user's are expected to have read documentation like in thr 90's to know that. This is important if you didn't want your information on the public cloud. 2. In offline mode, your master password appears to be sent to their server and is used for login on the web. Even though your records are offline, your master password is there. 3. After contacting customer service, about buggixing (1) they refused to fix or help with recovery. 4. Customer service mentioned their platform is too old to fix. 5. Corrupt records have and may randomly occur. 6. Possibly cheaper and more effective to use the "lock note" function in Apple notes. 7. App startup speed is slow. 8. Many other way better products on the market. ### 1/5 — Unable to open on PC. SplashID is aware of this issue since January and has yet resolved it. *2024-06-04, version 8.4.2* Issues have dramatically increased on SplashID ver 8.4.2. To the point that it will not open and more recently changed my password without my involvement. I literally had to use a third device and disable the internet to open it and change it back to my original password. Additionally, the data and icons keeps duplicating as. Well as changing the icons to unselected ones. Worst, no matter how many times I delete the duplicate files and icons, they get worse to the point where I’ve had 4 identical files with different types and categories. It’s like it has a growing rash. I strongly recommend that you avoid this version until it is fixed. As for version 9, the major issue is the infestation of duplicate icons. This is caused when you might have several credit cards from the same store. It will create a n icon for each duplicate type of file. The worst part is the time required it takes to open the app after you enter the password/verification code. I have 8.4.3 installed in another computer works well it keep asking me to get the latest but the latest version keeps crashing. Now I have a new computer run MAC OS 26 I downloaded the latest it also crashes. Now with this new version 9.3.9 it is BAD!!! Can’t sink between MacBook Air and iPhone. And yes, they are on the same wifi network. Plus, why do I have to initiate the sync? Then when I ask for help I get some belligerent tech support person. I use it to store passwords for not only various websites, but also home information, credit card numbers, etc. I very much like the feature that allows you to sync between your iPhone and your laptop WITHOUT SYNCING TO SOMEWHERE IN THE CLOUD. On the few occasions I have had problems, I have found the support staff to be wonderful ! One such person (Nikolai Filipov) has been outstanding and extremely helpful when I have needed help. I decided to see what was in the App Store since I’ve been using SplashID for 12-15 years—who keeps track? I saw all the old reviews with complaints that are not relevant today. I was surprised. One recent review with which I cannot agree, but that was about it. All I can say is it works great for me, no freeze up, poor interface, etc problems. I’m not changing, it’s a great app, I like the graphics and everything is always available. It’s one of those everyone has different tastes things—it’s a 5 in my book.
