### 4/5 — Deceptive advertising

*2026-08-12*

This app claims it doesn’t check your credit report not true!!They do a what they call soft pull upon my checking with them. They then simply turn an application down when access to your personal information is granted to them (bank account and SSN) is given to them. If you have income and need help why deny a person this assistance? Those general explanations they give aren’t specific to the applicants stance! It needs to be fixed. No means none not a soft pull so people who genuinely need the help simply can’t even get approval. So sad!! I hope someone looks into this and fix it because the person who invented this app invented it to help people not lie to people in false advertising and ridiculous picking and choosing of whom to help!!!

### 4/5 — God Sent

### 5/5 — Very useful!

### 5/5 — So far so good!!

*2026-08-10*

I’m a newbie here. I ran into some issues with my bank account and debit card not matching my split pay account. The reason being is bc I got a divorce and didn’t want to use my married name anymore so my split pay acct I used my maiden name. When I tell you split pay customers service made sure they helped me get it right!. They assist me in working on getting my issues resolved, and let me tell you they did!! I didn’t just chat or talk to anyone via email, I actually spoke to a few agents that assisted me with what I needed to get my car payment processed. It wasn’t one transaction, I had to run the payment through twice, and with customer service support on the phone to assist me, we got it right with the second transaction!! So far Spilt customer service support “ROCK!!”

### 5/5 — Love it

### 4/5 — Good alternative to flex!

*2026-08-07*

I originally planned to use Flex to split my rent, but I wasn’t eligible to use my Flex account, so I started looking for another option and found Split Pay. While my apartment doesn’t directly promote it, I needed something to help me get by this month, and this stated it works with all portals. My rent also posted over a Saturday , which made me nervous about processing times given some reviews about late fees, but everything worked as promised. Support was responsive to my many nervous questions, my full rent was sent to my building, and the ACH settled within the stated 1–3 business days. My first portion was charged immediately the next Monday and the rest was scheduled for later in the month. No late fees as my portal showed $0.00 after Split Pay had taken the first half out of my acct on Monday. Great option if you need flexibility with rent, especially if Flex isn’t available to you!

### 5/5 — Made Paying Rent Much Less Stressful

*2026-08-06, version 2.0.2*

Split Pay has been a huge help for me while rebuilding my finances. Being able to split my rent payment into smaller payments that match my paycheck schedule has taken away so much stress. The app is easy to use, the payment schedule is clear, and it has helped me stay on track without falling behind. I definitely recommend it to anyone who gets paid every two weeks and wants an easier way to manage large bills.

### 5/5 — Best app

*2026-08-06, version 2.0.2*

The app is a life saver and it’s definitely the best

### 5/5 — So Easy

*2026-08-06, version 2.0.2*

This was a life saver. My rent waa taking my entire check. Splitting it in half allows me to survive. Customer service is top tier and actually make you feel like they value you as a customer.

### 5/5 — Quick and Nice

*2026-08-06, version 2.0.2*

Ben and Jessica was amazing during helping me. They were able to help me fix my issue in a quick manner so that I could still use the app in time for rent!!

### 5/5 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2026-08-06, version 2.0.2*

Awesome

### 2/5 — May cause late fees

*2026-08-04, version 2.0.2*

The processing time is extremely slow and customer service doesn’t mention that until you sign up. I’d say do your research and speak with your landlord about possible delays. They cause me a late fee due to the customer service misleading me with false information. The service works just not as seamless as they make it seem. Flex is a lot more straight forward

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worst company

*2026-08-19, version 2.0.3*

This company is full of it they say even if you’re behind in your car note we help you I never got approved you can’t even talk to anyone I will never recommend this company

### 1/5 — Split pay!

*2026-08-15, version 2.0.3*

All the split pay apps are the same! They all SUCK! Don’t download!! They can’t/won’t help you! Not one of them are willing to work with you unless you have perfect credit! If I had perfect credit I wouldn’t need help from a split pay app!!!

### 1/5 — What a joke

*2026-08-13, version 2.0.3*

This app is a joke you have to have a certain amount in your checking account before you apply. And if you just paid a big bill you better hold off a paying it if you want this app. When talking to the customer service team they were not helpful on anything wish I could give it a negative star

### 1/5 — One star pending update

*2026-08-07, version 2.0.2*

It has not been a great experience so far. I am hopeful that customer service will be able to resolve the situation quickly!

### 1/5 — Unreliable for Something as Important as Rent

*2026-08-04, version 2.0.2*

The concept is great, and the app worked for me the first month. Unfortunately, the second month completely destroyed my confidence in it.

My rent was due on the 1st, and after two business days nothing had been initiated, nothing had been deducted from my account, and my landlord was sending me notices that my rent was still unpaid. When I contacted support, I was repeatedly told they hadn’t received a payment request from my resident portal and couldn’t do anything until they did.

That’s a major flaw. If your service depends on another system before it can process rent, that needs to be clearly disclosed before people rely on it. As a user, I had no way to track what was happening or know whether my payment would be made before my grace period expired, leaving me worried about late fees and my standing with my landlord.

Rent is too important to be left guessing. Until this app offers better transparency, clearer communication, and a more reliable payment process, I can’t recommend trusting it with your rent. One successful payment isn’t enough for me to risk being late the next month.

### 1/5 — Completely False Advertisement

*2026-08-04, version 2.0.2*

They advertise like it’s easy to use. They don’t tell you that you have to check eligibility. What sense does that make? It’s not a credit check. You aren’t just automatically eligible like they advertise.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-08-03, version 2.0.2*

The worst app. The 1st 3 months I tried using the service, would act like it was paying then decline. It took until the update to the new dashboard to say Discover isn’t accepted. So I set up Privacy.com to use a Mastercard and it still won’t work, because Privacy.com says it “unauthorized” even though it did an initial authorization to Split Pay when I set it up.

So frustrating when something that should be simple won’t work.

### 1/5 — Don’t even bother

*2026-08-02, version 2.0.2*

Worse don’t try. It’s worse than you know. I have dang good credit. Deny me. It’s ok. Don’t need it. Bye

### 1/5 — Dumbest app ever

*2026-08-01, version 2.0.2*

What’s the point of the app if you can never get approved for it. You don’t do a credit check but yet you can’t get approved for the app. Worthless when you’re in a tight position.

### 1/5 — HORRIBLE

*2026-08-01, version 2.0.2*

Trash app. I have a 769 credit score with $85,000 salary and was denied. They claim they don’t pull credit & they have to approve you based on how much money you make which is ABSOLUTELY STUPID AF!!! Somebody that needs to split their rent is obviously having financial struggles, why would someone have to “”qualify”” to use this???
